Polocies on induction seem to vary a lot depending on country, doctor and hospital. I think its worth looking into it a bit and deciding what you feel most comfortable with. Where I live induction at 41 weeks is standard. After research I found that the evidence for induction at 41 weeks is quite scetchy. There seems to be much more evidence in favour of it somewhere between 42 and 43 weeks. I decided to refuse until 42 weeks and had her at 41+3 so managed to avoid induction.
