Look what I made!

I went to the sewing exhibition at the NEC today and bought a sewing machine!
I haven't used one since school (15 years ago!)

It took me about an hour to figure out how to thread it...then I made my first ever thingy look!:

Please bear in mind the only spare fabric I have is old T-shirts so it's a very difficult fabric to use!

I'm hopefully going to make quilted baby playmats and cot quilts etc to sell

I agree, its a super thingy! I would patent (sp?) the name!

I hate sewing but my Mum's coming over this afternoon to help me take up make curtains, not looking forward to that!

I'm quite enjoying fiddling with it so far, but will have to wait and see how I get on later with a quilt.
