whenever i stand up i get light headed and i often get a strong pulse which i can hear in my ears! does anyone else get this? used to get a bit lightheaded before pregnancy but its been worse since.

yeah i get this especailly at night when i get out to the loo about 20 times. i also suffered with it before pregnancy. the best thing to do i find is sit upright and adjust your head before you stand up and just take your time when moving around, i think we have to accept the fact that we can't speed around like we did before!! also eat small regular and often to keep your blood sugar up.

I had a real dizzy spell yesterday it was horrible! And im alot more aware of my pulse, I think it has something to do with the increase in blood volume in the body

I get the pulse in my ear thing - really annoying, but I thought it was because I have a cold at the moment. Can't seem to get rid of it, tried shaking my head and holding my nose when I swallow but it's still there.

It seems really fast too.

Glad I'm not the only one.....

yeah im glad someone else brought this up... after i have ran up my two flights of stairs to my bedroom... *sooo unfit* i can hear my heartbeat pounding away...

before preggers ive neverheard my heartbeat unless it was on a heart monitor... was slgihtly concerned, but im ok now if its the same for most x

hi marchmummy,
i got this and actually passed out sometmes! i could hear the pulse as well and when i sat down i could see my eyes juddering as if there was a pulse in my eyes! :?
just get lots and lots of rest and drink plenty of water thats what my midwife told me to do!
take care hunny! :)

it could be your iron levels are low and your slightly aneamic. I passed out a few weeks ago. My levels are on 10. They told me to get up slowly from sitting to standing and vice versa
