I knew the day would come and i knew it would be early on as it was with Amy, what i didn't know is that it would be in the middle of Pleasure land Southport!!
How embarrassing!! i had a light blue top on- i was wondering why people were staring.
I had to run into the loos and get under the dryer, i td idn't go invisible as it leaves a dark shadow!!

Oh well its happened now and i have it forthe rest of the 21 weeks and after the baby is born!! Yippee! NOT

Oh God this means it might be my turn soon then!!

HI

Were all so close to eachother, how scary!!!!, i cant beleive your leaking already no im gonna be checking all the time lol. DO any of you know when most people should start to leak at ????
KAtrina

on my first child i didnt leak at all till 3 days after i had him xxxx

little bit embarrasing   my OH was having a bit of a fiddle with my boobs over the weekend when he said he could taste a protein type taste - was this colostrum? I cant squeeze it out or see it myself

It could well be!! Ive been quite lucky so far, leaked a few times but only at night when i have been at home!!! Hoping it will stay that way!!!

I was 20 weeks when I started leaking with my first and second.......I have 8 weeks left till the breast pads come out!!!!

Apparently its s good thing as it means a healthy milk supply!!

Much love

Healthy but gross! I am surprised all this is happening so soon, I was expecting it to be a long while before all thesethings started to happen. Mind you, not really sure what to expect - very new terratory for me!

Don't worry Jessika, this is quite uncommon and you will probably get away with it!!!

I've had thick colostrum since very early on so just waiting with baited breathe for the full on milk to come. Midwife thinks it will come early as my colostrum did too.

Do you still produce colustrum when baby is born though if you leak this early? Coz I know it's the most importnat part of breast milk for the baby to drink. :?

We did about breast feeding at antenatal last week, some women leak early on and some don't leak at all during pregnancy apparently this is nothing to worry about and doesn't mean cos you haven't leaked that you won't be able to breast feed, your body knows what the baby needs and for the 1st 2-3 days your body will produce colostrum and then the milk comes in around day 3-4.

Well here comes my horror -

Last nigrht whilst cuddling up with OH we suddenly felt a wet patch on the bed for the second night in a row. The night before last we put it down to something being on the bed before we got into it (even thoughwe couldnt really think what!) and then last night OH finally realised my boobs were looking a bit wet and that they were leaking!

I sat and cried full on for 5 minutes I was so horrified. Sometimes I wonder if I am only 18 weeks! My bump is massive, I'm getting milk early, SPD early, and everything else. My body just must be well in gear to change or something? Doesn't help I found more stretchmarks on my backside either.

Not a good night last night. OH says he still loves me and it doesn't make me less attractive (this is my biggest hang up since being PG) and the milk is just for baby pup (what he calls the little one lol).

Argh pregnancy - so many emotions and changes :x  :P   :o :D :( :?

Awwwwwww Sami,

Try to think of the positives. In 5 months you'll have a wonderful. bouncing bundle of joy, with plenty of milk for him/her, and don't worry about the backside stretch marks - at least you can see them - I haven't seen my backside for years

HAHAHAHAHA  That cheered me up lol. Thanks hunnie

Got used to the milk and the breastpads now after a few days - find it bloody halerious now to sit there and see it come out!! OH 'attends' to them to make them do it. He is still being lovely and sweet about it and making me feel good about myself :)

Hey Sami xxx

Hope you are feeling a little better now. Have read a couple of your posts and you seem a little down in the dumps xxx

I too went through a really bad patch when I was about 18weeks cos everything started to happen at once. My stretch marks began and mine are all over the front of my tummy!! My boobs have been leaking since about 17weeks. Although it just seems to be one leaking loads and the other hardly at all. Is this normal or will it mean I'll have trouble feeding from the one that hardly leaks?
Also my bump still isn't very big so I'm still feeling fat rather that pregnant.
And as for the in laws!! Don't even get me started on that one!!!

After all that I'm feeling ok now though. Had another down patch when I hit 24weeks because I just freaked out at the possibility that my baby now had a 75% chance of survival!! Most people would be over the moon at this thought but it just made me convinced that I was about to go into labour!!

We're all here to help and you have been one of the most supportive people on here so we all owe you a few favours anyway so moan as much as you like girl!!!!

And by the way, this should cheer you up if you don't already know! Mamas and Papas are opening a superstore in a couple of months next to Boots in the Kingston centre!! Yay!!! Happy Shopping!! Probably see you there at the opening!!!

Take Care xxxx

hello
I thought that I would just share this. I have been stressing like mad over the last month or so. I discovered that I was leaking a little colostrum, but the fluid from my right boob, was almost BLACK!!!! I can't tell you how much that freak me out, but I was in denial and decided to sweep it under the carpet!!!!!
Last night, after a hot bath, to my horror, it was there again and this time loads more. I was terrified and convinced that I had breast cancer or something seriously wrong.
All night I tossed and turned and wondered how my two children plus baby and hubby, will cope without me being there. My husband is very supportive and encouraged me to look for some guidance on the internet.
PHEW!!!!! Thank god I did, although I was panicking like mad....... there is was in black and white. The colostrum colour can range from white, yellow-green to black!!!!! :) I burst into tears - reading it again just to made doubley sure. If it was bloodstained, it would be cause for concern.
Feeling much better now - a little mixed emotions at the moment as hubby flying to London for 3 months. Won't see him until 4 weeks before EDD!!!!!
Will be back here for heaps of support! You've all been BRILLIANT!! Thanks
Emilia xx
:D
