Leaking waters

Hey all, i had my docs appt yest. my lil sprout is still breech!! and then i lost some waters so i literally peed my pants haha i had to go in got internal and they said i didnt lose enough to do any harm and plug is still intact. I had minimal movement for 24 hours and when they put me on the doppler rocky really showed what he was made of i was sooo embarrassed haha!! but better safe than sorry!!! but thank god i was in for waters too or i wuda looked like i made it up lol.

anyways the gp knows my dad is going for a quadruple heart bypass in 2-3 weeks so he suggested sectioning me at 37 weeks if i didnt mind. he said baby was fully formed and would be fine and i would only spend normal amount of time in hosp. but when i was with midwives yest they said noo way i would be mad to accept even under the circumstances. (dads bypass operation 2 hours away and i want my mum with me) they tried to tell me babies lungs wouldnot be matured and baby would be in neonatal. im scared now and dunno who to listen to so i thought i would ask you lot!!!

Glad everything's ok ....and your baby would be fine at 37 weeks! They are considered full term by then and unlikely to need any treatment when they are born - and I don't think the doctor would suggest it if it was anything to be concerned about.

i know woohoo thats what i thought and it says everywhere 37 weeks its fully developed , i am also accurate of my dates so the baby will be 37 weeks. mw was giving off saying that the gp shouldnt have recommended that and i woud be mad so will i get treated horribly if i go in for section next week?!? i hate the way everone in the hosp tells you diff stuff all the time... anyway it wont be long no matter what. xx

oh and to top it off if i lose anymore waters theyre sectioning me anyway so i mightnt even make it to 37 weeks but the mw seems to think thats ok lol!??! confuzzling or what xx

I love the way she thinks it's absolutely fine for medical reasons but totally wrong for anything else... I'd ignore her and listen to the doctor!

If you get any sh*t from any midwives tell them to get stuffed! I wont hold back next time if I get treated like dirt again like I did after my C-section! Good luck!

i will rosies mummy!! im defo not what you would call behind the door anyway i cant bite my tongue. i did ask her did midwives get different training to doctors regarding pregnancy?! lol she wasnt happy but id like to know why they tell u so many conflicting things... :s lol !!! yeah i hope i meet baby soon but im scuuurrrreeeddd. i know after my mc which was bad i thought all that and no bundle of joy?!?! but now im scared of the process and excited bout end result lol roll on xxx

So So so excited for you hun, not long now till you meet your LO
I can understand why the doctor mentioned it and the doctor wouldn't have mentioned it if he didnt think it would be safe.

At the end of the day its your decision and I know you will make the best one, its wrong for the midwife to worry you like that. People are right to have their own opinions but their advice and guidance shouldn't be conflicted. (does that even make any sense lol).
So what if she didnt like you quetionning her, you have the right to, especially as its about you and your babys care.

aww thanks!! yeah i know wat u mean. i was up most of last night with really bad pains down there ... the consultant didnt even think i was gonna make it to 37 weeks and i defo think somethings starting to happen so hopefully i go by myself and then babys ready and theyll just section me... with m/c and all i feel like i been pregnant 18 months so im starting to get realllly excited bout meeting sprout.!!! how r u keeping??? xx

Lisa are you having a constant leak? My waters have started leaking from the back.. Horrible feeling of it coming away Feels like you're peeing yourself without any control whatsoever!

All I did was stand up this will be a bit TMI but it was so funny last night in the hosp toilets My sister came with me and I was trying to work out what was pee and what was my waters.. She kept making me laugh and my waters wouldnt stop! I was like "I'm never getting off this toilet if you don't shut up" Was so funny.. I didn't think it was going to stop! I will keep everything crossed for you to get stuck on the loo too xx
