Not sure really where to post this - has anyone given birth in Kings College Hospital in London?

Was it a good/bad experience?

Or does any know where I can find out more information on individual hospitals? Not having much luck online.

Many thanks!

I don't know, sorry hun but hopefully someone else may know :)

hey hun,
i gave birth to my LO at Kings. the birth was a good experience i had an excellent midwife . it was after the birth that i didn't have a good experience.

1. i had loads dry blood under my bed, when we confronted them they told us it was blackcurrant juice. ( i know what juice looks like)

2. my daughter had jaundice when she was born and when my OH brought the car seat to the hospital the midwifes/nurses said " ha ha i want be needing that ".
they stood there laughing. i just wanted to burst out in tears.

3. this midwife lady that was there during the night time was just so rude to me. she was just like " don't you feed the baby like that" " don't hold her like that it's wrong"

we complained on those comment forms but we didnt hear anything back.
i said to my self that i will never go back to that labour ward.

hope this helps hun

xx

I was born there and mum tells me that worked out well ! :)

Thanks for our replies.

I had a look around St Thomas' "home from home" unit last night and think it looks great so have decided to have baby there.

Just hope the longer taxi ride in labour doesn't kill me too much!!

St Thomas' is just a lovely, lovely hospital. Love the place, the staff, and the doctors.

It did look fab and the midwife super friendly. I'm actually quite excited and looking forward to going there to give birth now ha ha!
