Me and OH were shifting 2 sofas out last night as we were giving them to my sister's neighbour. She had given me hers and was planning on taking ours to the tip. There was nothing really wrong with it but it wasn't in a condition to be sold.
However my sister called me last night and said her neighbour would take it off our hands and was fetching it that evening.
Perfect! We have no trailer or the time this weekend to shift it as we have company for the whole weekend.
We dragged one outside and put it on the front ready and went to fetch the other. As we got close to the front door we could hear kids outside. Sure enough they were bouncing on the settee!!! My OH, not happy, yelled "Get off my sofa!" He gets a response from a mouthy kid "Shut up, Free country!" My OH's blood was boiling then! He said "It's not a free sofa though is it?"
With that, and the fact we were coming outside, the kids did a runner! I went in the kitchen to sort some tea and to keep an eye out. I watch this kid approach the settee, touch it, push on it then pounce on it!!! I banged on the window and he walked off. Turns out it was the same mouthy kid from before. He looked about 6 or 7!!!
I was in shock at his attitude! It made me really damn angry as you really can't have anything these days. I know i was gonna tip it but i was doing someone a favour. They offered me money but i didn't take it.

Just reminds me of how i do not want Angel to turn out!!! I just cannot believe how he spoke to us, and came back for another test.

I sound really old! Lol

Don't even know where they're from! Not seen them before! If i spoke to someone, anyone like that i'd have had a clip round the ear! I never dreamed of speaking like that!

Urgh, that sort of thing annoys me soooo much. I remember there was a blocked sewage main on the pavement outside our house last year and there was horrible smelly mess everywhere. We tend to get a lot of passers by but I could hear kids outside. Guess what, a little boy (about 7) was playing IN IT! I had to go and say something and it went something like this...

Me: "Hey wee man?"
Boy: "Hiya"
Me: "Do you know what you're playing in?"
Boy takes a sniff: "Aye."
Me: "Do you really think you want to be doing that?"
Boy (looks thoughtful): "Eh... naw?"
Me: "Uh huh."
Boy doesn't do anything, still standing ankle deep in raw sewage.
Me: "Well, run along then!"
Boy looks at me like I'm mental and walks away.

There was another time when kids (about 9 or 10 years old) were playing chicken in the street round the corner from our old flat, luckily OH saw them in time and was only going about 20 at the time anyway. Two of them were from a school I worked at. I got out the car and frog marched them back to their house where their mum grounded them for a month (I know her vaguely too, probably wouldn't have done it otherwise). She was absolutely afronted with them!

I can't help but do things in these sort of situations, tis the teacher in me!
