Sorry it is so late not had a minute, here go's
Wednesday 16th July woke up at 6am for work and felt slightly damp dwn below!!! changed and went to work as usual and i seemed to be slightly damp throughout the day, did consider it might be my waters but thought it was just extra discharge,
Thursday morning got out of bed to a gush of water, had a shower ect and called Hospital who told me to come it and get checked over. Started getting contractions around 9am and decided to do a bit of shopping to get a new camera before lo arrived.
got to hospital just after 10am who confirmed my water had broke and that they would be keeping me in as i was scheduled for an induction the very next day (no one had informed me of this)
through out the day my contraction got worse and were about 3/4 mins apart by 8pm, they sent DH home to wait it out.
at about 12pm and 2/3 mins apart i had sum pain killer and a bath, after trying to sleep for about 5 hrs and contraction every 2 mins i finally got moved to delivery DH came up, Started on Gas and air at 6am which helped me for a while, as baby was back to back, the pain was all in my back.
Got examinted and was 6cm dilated and asked for pethadine, which really tool the edge of my contraction and allowed me to get a rest.
11am i was 8cm dilated...... after another hr or so i felt the urge to push and within the hour Baby Kai was born.... he had some problems breathing and ressusitition team was called in with about 20 other doc in the room but thankfully he started breathing on his own after which felt like ages was really only mins... i got to hold my baby.
I had no stiches or other complications and at no point did I think i was in terrible pain, i would do it all again in a min. but prob wnt be so easy next time.
Also my midwife and doctors were fantastic, which helped grately. xx
