... the baby's head has started descending into my pelvis!!

I though with second and especially third babies they didn't engage until kick off was in the offing?

It's got to be good news though, surely?!

I've been told that this time round the baby is low and in my pelvis but not engaged.... I asked my midwife the same thing, about second pregnancies not engaging till the last minute and she just said no.. that every pregnancy is different, and while she thought this baby would probably come early... babies very much come when they want to... and nothing is certain...

So who knows... you're 38 weeks though and a head engaging at that point is a good sign...

Usually when they feel the baby, they have a laugh saying that it is nowhere near.

But I've been having a few twinges and cramps last couple of days, so the fact that it has moved down to 4/5 is quite an achievement! I'm really pleased, at least that it confirms things are not too far away, even if it is around my due date. Just hoping it's a good indication that I won't go too far over.

i've been told my baby's head is in my pelvis now. She s always been head down though so i'm hoping she ll stay where she is and just gradually move down!

I ask my midwife about this today and she said every pregnancy is different. She said some babies dont engage till your in labour some engage before and stay there for a few weeks 2nd pregnancy too. I am not fully engaged at 37 weeks.

Mine was 4/5 engaged, then 3/5 engaged, then breech then tranverse, then oblique, then head down but free, now 3/5 engaged again and thats just in the last 3 weeks!!!!!!!! I think they bob around a lot when its not your first
