Really need to shift this weight, i'm kind of dreading it as i'm not a fan of the gym but its got to be done. i need to lose 3 stone badly, its so depressing :(

a friend of mine has been using an app called MyNetDiary and she has lost a stone in six weeks. she has been going to the gym twice a week too and has inspired me. wish me luck! xx

Be careful joining! I used to work in a gym and they'll tie you in to a bugger of a contract! As you've got a LO I suggest you go for as short term as poss for now to work out if it's cost effective (I say this as I know how hard it is to get out with a LO) last thing you want is being stuck in a 12, 18 or even 24 month contract and not able to go. Also if you do sign up long term and they give you a 'get out clause' make sure its written on the contact and please read the small print! I'm my 2 years at the gym I only saw 1 person read the t's&c's!

Meant to add if you do find yourself going enough (because a shorter contracts always more expensive) you can transfer to a longer cheaper one.

Ooo good luck :) I joined my gym 3 weeks ago and just go to the classes but it's been brilliant. I don't weigh myself anymore, just go by measurements and I've noticed a difference in tone already :) my gyms ace because you can pay by cash and it's a rolling contract. Bargain.

Thanks girls. The gym I'm going to is no contract I used to be a member before LO. Im really lucky, one of the benefits of my work is they pay £50 per month gym allowance! Xx

Thats good!

I used to have people in tears over gym contacts, they aren't very fair at all! They've been in trouble with trading standards recently.

Good luck!

yeah those contracts are so unfair!! they still do exist in some gyms though like you say, terrible! x

Hope it went well chicky. Have you tried slimming world? I'm not going atm, but am following the diet again (did it a few years ago). So far, have lost 13lb in 6 weeks. Am a few pound off losing 3st since B arrived. In saying that, I'm still overweight  and want to lose a stone and a half more.

xxxx

Hey Pos and Olive, didnt we have a plan back when we were pregnant to start a diet thread/section to encourage each other on?

Although unfortunately I've been told I'm not allowed to do any excercise except walking (and not to push the pram or lift the baby??? so not sure how i can even walk) until my abdomen fuses back together, it's still very deviated. When it heels, I am taking up pilates to strengthen my back to carry Jasper, as he weighs a ton! But I really need to diet, I havent stopped eating 'pregnancy chocolate'.

Ive lost weight again but I know it's through being unhealthy and not eating properly and basically forgetting to eat because im either too busy or too tired to. I need to start walking more :/ but I have zero motivation whilst OH isn't there to come with me

Ooh I'm up for a weight loss thread :) I've lost 1st 10lb since S was born :) another 1st 9 to go!!
Xx
