as strange as this sounds, your situation seems normal to me. because these are our first children and they were extremely prem, we have such a weird experience of having a baby. i used to sit in the hospital and think that every baby born ended up in the NICU, and thats just the way it was.

whereas having a baby normally and bringing home a chunky bundle 2 days later is normal for most mummies on here, my 'normal' experience is having a minature sick baby, spending 6 months in the NICU/PICU, then coming home. thats just the way i expect it to happen now.

i hope what im saying makes sense. i dont know how to put it!

anyway, thanks for the website, its wonderful. watching the movie with the sound on took me right back to intensive care. my god, i havent heard those beeps for a while (our home monitor is different) hope your keeping well Jen.xxxxxxxxx

such a lovely site......... hugs and prayers to you all

That's a lovely website, I am so glad he is doing so well given his size and gestation.
I know too how scary and how much of a rollercoaster ride NICU can be. We escaped after 13 weeks which for a 28 weeker is fairly long but still short to others I know who have spent much longer 'inside'. Will keep checking to see how he is doing. Thinking of you and Jeremy, it's a tough ride but they are sooooooo worth it xxxxxxxx

Jeremy is such a fighter, i cant wait to see him leave hospital

Been thinking about you and your LO very often over the past 8 weeks. Glad he's fighting on and thanks for the website- it is beautiful. He'll be able to look back on it in years to come and be amazed at how far he has come- and so will you. You and your OH are an inspiration.

There's some wonderful news on Jeremy's website :)

Hi everyone,

Just thought i'd give you all a Jeremy update. He is doing so well, has now been home for almost 3 months, although he is 7 months actually he is meant to be 3 1/2 months. he can roll from his tummy to his back hold his toys, talking all the time and smiling and laughing constantly! he is also having 3 solid meals a day and loving it!

We saw his doctors last week who were so pleased with his progress and actually said they could not tell he was premature, which is very unusual for a 24 weeker!

I hope all your babies are doing well

aww it's good to hear from you. I'm so Glad Jeremy is doing well and is happy and at home with you
