Hello everyone,
I ve been TTC for unbelievable long 4 years and now seriously considering IVF abroad.
Me and my husband has still some concerns about, but due to financial reasons,we are disposed to one clinic in Czech Republic .(http://www.reprogenesis.co.uk/)
The costs seems to be lower than in UK and I would like to get some of your opinions or thoughts about whole process of getting pregnant abroad?

Thank you a lot!

Hi there, sorry to hear of your struggles, as you can see from my sig below, we had been trying since 2009 with no luck
We did not go for IVF in the uk due to me not getting a good feeling from the people or clinics I went to see

A guy at work suggested I speak to Serum in Athens, they had 3 failed attempts in the uk and went to see Penny at Serum and she suggested other tests etc and they ended up falling first time there. I contacted them and must admit felt reassured straight away just from email, very responsive more than keen to get to know us as a couple and again suggested tests that uk had not even brought to my attention

Anyway went there in May and had 3 embryos transferred and delighted to say BFP first time, getting a scan tomorrow to see how many have taken :)

Could not recommended them enough, google reviews on them and Penny you won't find anything bad, if you want any more info or contact details just pm me, I'll be happy to help xx

We are a young couple from Sweden considering IVF abroad due to financial issues - our doctor said that we should do research in Central Europe which is the closest to our origin.

We heard that Czech Republic has good standards but extremely low efficacy and we are definitely not going there (it's also more expensive and far away from our country - we are both working with husband and we don't have much time).

Does anybody know any good clinic and cheap one in the central Europe?
If we get to know any valuable info about clinics in central Europe we will let you know also. ;)

Hi!
thank you for answers! After some discussions with my doctor and friends me and my husband had finally decided for the mentioned clinic in czech rep. ((http://www.reprogenesis.co.uk/))
I will keep you updated abotu my experience with this one!
I am going there next mont, till now I have to say that communication with clinic was smooth !

We are not going to use reprogenesis, as they are extremely expensive.

After some research, we have decided to go abroad - to Poland. I know it sounds strange, but we made research through medical society (asking doctors and people from their environment) and it is a very good clinic in the field of technology.

I've read they are the first in the world clinic to use PGD:NGS commercially. The prices are lower even including exclusive hotel, flights and so on. The city of Gdansk is beautiful, I want to see it by my own eyes!

Here are some links:

I will let you know about everything! Lady from the call centre was very nice to us and we have arranged the first visit. We will connect our IVF with a great holidays!

Hi all the ladies. Yeah we were thinking to go to Poland but then I don't know why decided go to reprogenesis clinic. Yes , they are very quick on responses and nice , but we need to get pregnant and not only nice talk. We have been twice there now (fresh and FET cycle). Both didn't work. They wont let you to lay down even for 30 mins (was really strange for me) after all the money we spent there ! (only 10 mins on the chair after transfer. Second -they using blind method of embryo transfer (no ultrasound) , yeah doc check your lining before transfer embryos, but then he does it blindly, says the ultrasound damaging embryos...So , after transfer you wont get pic of your transferred embryos, what really annoying we found. No , im sure he has good experience and he is a pro , but even pros doing mistakes, blinded method of embryo transferring its old days, or even start put some bad thoughts in your head..Second, when first we contacted clinic ,it was saying on their email that extra embryos we get will be free freezed for a year and its included in a price of 4500E, so , after transfer she just started making up the story bla bla , that anyway we have to pay for it. Its really was big disappointment of this clinic, just in one shot they crossed their reputation with a big red line. Still angry with them , how could they do it ! And anyway , non of our cycles worked . After last fail I didn't write anything , was 2 upset, but then decided I have to, bcoz its not much info about them , just few good posts and that's it. People should know how everything works there.

Hi girls, I know how essential to have some kind of neutral information to compare fertility clinics abroad. I found 2015 ranking of Polish fertility clinics by an independent newspaper. Unfortunately the newspaper is the only source to compare ivf clinics and their results in Poland. Clinics have been analyzed by 40 parameters as number of pregnancies, safety, other specialist availability, clinics reporting to ESHRE, another international certification, ISO standards, staff and others.
According to the newspaper Wyborcza best fertility clinics in Poland are:
1. Invicta Gdansk 79 points (best in Poland PGD/PGD NGS, ISO 9001, 14001, 15189/ ivf success rate 45,50 % in 2014 (ESHRE)/ chromosome genetic screening / PGD chromosomal translocations / PGD monogenic diseases) Not mentioned : eggs freezing program

1. Novum 79 points (success rate 38% in 2014 (ESHRE)/ ISO 9001:2008/ PGD screening/ PGD translocations
2. Gameta 72
3. Invimed Warsaw 71
4. Invimed Wroclaw 67
4. Invicta Warsaw 67
5. Fertility clinic Katowice 65
5. Angelis 65
6. Salve Medica 63
7. Criobank 58
8. Fertility clinic Shchecin 57
9. Maternity Cracow 56
10. Fertility clinic Bialystok 55
11. Gameta Gdynia 54
11. Invicta Wroclaw 54

I have just seen this and would consider going abroad for my private cycles. It is really interesting to read so thanks all. X

i also found this one: eggdonationfriends.com/clinics/, good review of clinics worldwide, particularly for ed

Hiya I don't know about the checz Republic but hubby and I have an appointment in 3 weeks with serum in Athens and I'm extremely aprehensive and excited at the same time, does anyone have any advice for going to serum? X

I have done 3 cycles in Cyprus, 1 own egg and 2 tandem. Also, been to Serum for aqua scan, hysto and full immune testing and going back in January for IVF and another hysto. Ask away xxxx

We are alos considering IVF abroad, any stories are much appreciated!

RAFMrs do they recommend the men do the full 40 days sperm improvement before starting ivf? We go for our consultation next week, just wondering with timings and things like that whether we would also end up starting in Jan ? X

If you have male factor problems then they do recommend it but they have loads of people who don't do it.
As your there next week they will probably test a sperm sample plus do the dna fragmentation test, from this they will tell you the quality of sperm and what she advises.
If they recommend a hystoscopy then could cycle from your next cycle.
Be worth checking there xmas opening hours if you may need to be there then, plus check cover while penny is at fertility show on 7/8 November if there then - but trust me when I say penny cares for every single patient and would only ever leave the clinic in great hands xxx

Back from Athens & I would highly highly recommend them! Penny is fantastic & they found issues with me in one consultation, that the NHS & private clinic here didn't even see in 3 years!

Glad you had a really good appointment, I love penny and her team too. Really sorry they found issues with you, but hopefully that will be the missing jigsaw piece and onwards and upwards to next treatment. Did you have immunes testing with them to? Will you cycle with them? Feel free to PM me if you want yo chat xxx

I am also glad you are had great appointment. Wish you good luck

I am new on here I have just started looking at the clinic in athens and see u have just been any help and advice would be great 8 years ttc 1 mc 3 years ago tied iui 2 times low egg count was going to try hewitt clinic in liverpool but not getting a good vibe from them. any info you can give would be great x

I would definitely recommend serum in Athens they made the process such an uncomplicated one and are really lovely
They offer so much more than what you can get over here x

Hi ladies Im actually reading this for my sister as she has been trying now for over 5 years with 2 failed NHS IVF's. I myself had to have IUI to have my mirical so I know the true heartbreak of infertility. I truely just want my sister to have a baby now.

They are simply unexplained infertility and they are not in the position financially to pay for treatment privatley but my mum and I are thinking of offering a try and if Im honest I dont feel the NHS have really done enough for them. I think further testing would be great for her as her cycles last a couple of days. Her and I were on the depo jag for years and I truely believe it messed both of us up for conceiving. Anyway im interested in looking abroad for options as I have a friend who has twins from a clinic in Spain. Reading thhese reviews of Serum and Athens is sounding interesting. I have a few questions if thats ok?

What further tests do they do to see what problems are?
How long does it take and how many times does it take to go?
Do they give a total cost for the whole thing or are there add ons?
Is accomodation and flights booked seperately?
