IUI

I had my appt today after clomid didn't work again...it went really well!
Dr said he has only seen one patient like me who didn't ovulate at all after clomid/drilling combo; and they got pregnant with gonal F ovulation induction and IUI.
So he wants us to move straight to that, starting 18th June, eeek! We get up to 6 cycles, but really hoping we won't need all of them. He said it's better to do IUI with them all to get the best possible chance of success.
I finally feel like I am in with a shot!

Thanks girls! They are going to start very low with the dose and build up slowly because I have quite a big over stimulation risk eek.

Hey Blondy, no Im no further forward about when its to start annoying. I had been told 16 months wait which should be June but Ive not had an appointment through. Skeando just had a letter and her appointment is not till August so Im now thinking that I will even be after that. Im slowly loosing the will as June was close and I had it in my head I only had to wait till then. Now its looking as though its 16months till the letter appointment then 3 months from the letter for the treatment!!!!!!

Ive contacted the hospital to as usual no reply so I was on the phone again today. I think Im going to have to get particularly pushy! Its just so frustrating. I had hoped we could be IUI buddies too like we were with clomid on Letrazole! Unless i get some miracolous news Im still waiting!!!!

Maybe we should all just turn up en masse at GRI and refuse to leave? They really are quite frustrating.

Skeando they truely are so frustrating! I actuàlly am not convincd that there is a particular format and waiting list criteria and process. You struggle to get in contact with absolutely anyone who can answer your questions. Never mind the nightmare of finding the department as they sent me a map that had the wrong unit highlighted. Im going to phone each day now till Fri and leave a message I think. I want to know where my letter is. Why Im told 16 months for IUI but now not heard anything! I feel a march Skeando!!!!!

The pages and pages of forms they sent me was supposed to have a map in it, but it didn't. Haven't even thought that far ahead yet tho. Seems so long away till August, and even then it just sounds like a preliminary appt, who knows how long till an actual "something happens" appt.

You def need to keep on at them, I think if I hadn't called I would have been waiting the full 16months from Dec 2011, rather than it being backdated to Dec 2010 as it should have been.

I'm def up for marching.... it's doing my head it!

Map in it is useless. Seriously it was a nightmare to find from it. We were all over the hospital trying to find it. Asked countless folk who took us all over the place. No joke 35 to 40 mins later we got there. Lucky Im an uber early person so were still on time. Told the dr you sent us the wrong map the one for the other ACS unit and she just said oh thats the only map we have. But its in bold black box highlighting the WRONG place!!!! Bang, Bang Bang!!!!!

Ive had a booking appointment too so why did they not give me the forms?
