Is this her tooth?

Small girl has been grumpy as anything for the last 4-5 days. Today has been the ultimate. When she's not asleep she is constantly whining/whinging/whimpering. She doesn't really want to eat - she's had about 3oz since 4.00pm. I have given her some yoghurt and a reduced-sugar rusk to chomp on and these kept her quiet for a bit, but other than that she is SO unhappy.

This evening, after the 63rd application of bonjela and a spoonful of calpol, she left us rummage in her mouth and there is a white spot on her gums on her right. It looks like a white head if that makes sense. It's on the side of the gum as opposed to something coming through the top, but I'm wondering if this means the tooth is on it's way or if it's the white spot that's upsetting her and it needs to burst or something?

Anyone got any ideas? x
