Hi all,
Im obviously 37+ weeks now and we have arranged to pick the pram up today, as it has the car seat and baby bag with it etc. Hubby said we should keep it at his mums, but I want to bring it home, to look at it (sad I know). He said its bad luck? I dont really believe that bringing a pram home will change whatever will happen. But just wondered what others thought and if anyone had their prams home yet? I just want to be excited x

ive had cot and pram built up since 35 weeks.. I don't believe in things like that.. x

Aw good, me neither. We have cot all ready too. Just dont think having cot and pram will change anything, but kinda didnt want to be the only one with a pram home. Silly I know x

Im not supersticious either and have had everything here since 14 weeks! Like you say sadly if something is going to happy it will happen regardless of whether you bring a pram in the house!!

Im only 19 weeks tomorrow and I would have the pram out daily if I could lol xxx

haha im one of those people that believe in it im afraid and the pram doesnt enter my house until afterwards

Sorry but I am a freak when it comes to this - I have my pram at my mums and will bring it home when I have my ba. Sounds a bit silly but I would never walk under a ladder lol!!!!

Lol funny what we believe in isnt it! When I had dd I wasnt allowed to have pram in the house till after she was born ...bossy MIL lol!!

Nothing wrong in us having our own little ways tho xx

hehe its funny how people have these superstitions but its fair enough.. There's some things im kinda weird about.. Just not cot and pram..more like breaking mirrors :) x

Yeah I think its like an upbringing thing maybe?

I cant remember my parents being supersticuous either....xx

my fella thinks things like that is bad luck but ive told him once we move out i will be doing the nursery if he likes it or not lol

I said i wasnt that excited about picking it up now and taking it to his mums for her to show everyone and he said - 'we can bring it home then' YAY x

iam due 22nd jan and we have orded the pram for the 7th jan and my mum said i can keep it at her house

Our pram is meant to arrive tomorrow but my Mum is really superstitious about this and doesn't want us to have it in the house (I don't know why coz she isn't really the type of person who believes in superstitions) It's going to stay at my in-laws house, they live closer to us than my parents, and I'm going to go and play with it there. I don't believe having the pram in the house can cause any bad luck, but have decided to humour my Mum as she has bought the pram for us so think it's only fair!

we have had the pram and the cot and the whole nursery ready from 24 weeks after we were told at the 20 week scan we needed to have tests to find out why our baby wasnt growing properly and that it would probably be delivered at 2 weeks so we wanted to be ready. I am now 33 weeks and still no baby yet so we had "bad luck" if thats what you call it before we had the pram in the house and then we got the pram in and the luck changed so if anything I say my pram bought us luck lol xx

I wouldn't say I believe in it, but would never forgive myself if something happened and I had the pram at home :eh: so its at my sister. Went and got it out and played with it at the weekend  x x

Def dont like Breaking mirrors, and seeing only one magpie I always wave the bad luck away when I see one if we,re driving along - my hubbie always askes me who Im waving at and when I say a magpie he jus rolls his eyes now lol!!!!

We collected ours today and it's at home. Took me about 45 minutes to work out how to collapse it and put the rain cover on it

I'm not superstitious so not bothered about keeping it at home.

Mine is being delivered to my moms house but purely because she has more space. we will bring it over after! Dont believe in superstitions. x

Don't worry get the pram , it won't change any outcome with baby.

I have the one my sister used , she gave it to me, and it's got nowhere else to go that the lounge! keeps getting in the way of tely, but nice to see it there actually

Hey thanks all and very interesting everyones different ways. We have it up in the room and I love it. JJ Mum ours is also a bit in the way, but just love looking at it. Even hubby keeps pushing it around the room haha. It took us like 3 hours to put it up and have just got the hang of folding down and back up etc. I LOVE it.

I just think if anything bad was to happen, the pram is the last of my worries and theres no way I would think, 'its because I brought the pram in the house and got the nursery ready' But eveyone has their own thoughts and ideas! xx
