Irregular girls?

First off. im new here i've been looking around and decided to post. My last period was 8/31 today i had some spotting this morning light pink then brown the next time. Since nothing else. I know im probably jumping the gun here. But im excited like im sure so many of you are. I don't know how long a cycle is. If a period doesn't start how long should i wait to take a pregnancy test?Its day 34 from 1st day of my last period. Had sex several time the past couple if weeks. So perhaps who knows. September was month one of trying. I expect this to take much longer. we have 2 kids ages 14 and 11.

It depends how long your cycles are normally? Would you class yourself as ‘late’ if you are CD34?
