Implant removed yesterday... I have some questions!

Good afternoon ladies!

I had my implant put in 6 months ago, I was told not to have unprotected sex 7 days after it was put in... I've just read online that apparently you're not supposed to have unprotected sex for 7 days before it is removed either? Anyone else ever heard this?
My doctor and nurse never told me anything about this. I also read that you could become pregnant after the implant is removed if you did have unprotected sex 7 days before removal!

I mean, if it turns out I am pregnant... Well that was quick and I'll be happy the dirty work is dealt with!

But surely I should have been warned/told about this?!


Did anyone suffer with the following 1 day after removal...

• Period cramps
• Back pain
• Mood swings
• No bleeding

Honestly, I feel absolutely shocking!

Did you tell the nurse you wanted it removed because you want to get pregnant as that could be a reason why it wasn't mentioned. It generally states those things in the user information leaflet.

You make a good point haha, I didn't think about it like that!

As for leaflets... I don't think I got one.
