Hello :D

My partner and I are expecting our first child in July :D

We have already decided on a boy’s name - Jax Xavier

But I am having real trouble convincing my partner that Hunter is a nice name for a girl!

He keeps saying that it's a boys name even though it’s unisex.

What do you think, give me your honest opinion?

x

I grew up in America, and it's 100% a boys name to me, sorry hun!

Oh Pooh!

I knew it was a well known boys name in America but was hoping as it doesn't seem to be so popular in the uk ( at least I don't think it is, probably wrong) that I could get away with it!

I guess I'm just trying to find a name out of the ordinary :)

sorry i think its a boys name too hun x

I also think it's a boys name. Sorry xx

Sounds like a boy's name to me too - sorry hun :0(

Boy here too hun, sorry :) It's a lovely name though xx

There have been women called Hunter before, and I actually thought it was a really nice name for a girl...

At the end of the day, I reckon you'll find the best name...but (sorry to disagree, ladies) I really like the name Hunter for a girl :)

I LOVE the name Hunter for a girl :)

I think its very beautiful and strong!

I once read a book with a woman named Hunter in it and I remember how much I loved the idea of that name on a girl :)

Weird really cause I really dislike the name when its used for a guy!

xX

on first hearing the name Hunter, I'ld assume boy I think as I haven't heard of any girls called it, sorry hun

I think if you like it, go for it :)

I think it's a nice name. I've not really heard it much before so I wouldn't instantly assume it was for either sex but I agree if you like it you should go for it :) xx

Ha ha ha a very mixed reaction :)

Thank you everyone for your honest opinions x x x
