My plan is to be pregnant around next christmas then leave work the middle of the following year. ideally i'd take 4 months off maternity then go back to work 3 days a week for the remaining of my maternity leave, which is what i did when i had jacob. But second time around i'd like to stay on 3 days a week for ever. Would i get more child working tax credit if i took a serious drop in wages? I'm hoping the drop in wages won't be so bad as i wont be paying any more nursery fee's, petrol (i work over an hours drive from home) and i'll get more tax credit.

Go to http://www.entitledto.co.uk/ as you can put in figures there and it will tell you how muich you should get so you can hypothetically put in what your new salary would be.
