I'm gonna sound like a proper old moaning cow but every night about 6 kids are out playing until around 10pm!
I've reported them to their housing association (their council house children) but have been told nothing can be done about the noise! They literally scream, shout, play football right outside our house until they go in at 10ish.
I've just shouted out the window at them cos I caught them going in next door's garden (house not being lived in ATM) and now their out there shouting and laughing really loud. I fill like it's too early to tell them to shut up but would you at this time of night? There's even a 2/3 year old girl out there playing!
I don't want to confront their parents yet cos I don't know what their like!

It's doing my nut in! They have no respect for anyone living around here!

Had some kids doing it around the back of my flat last year, they lived in a house up the road and they were constantly riding their bikes around the pricate land so I told them where to go - politely!!

The back of our house is private where they play and I told one of my friend's who lives in one of the houses and he got quite rude and couldn't understand why they couldn't go round there! It's gonna be alot worse next year, theres gonna be a play area built opposite our house and I expect the kids will be out there all night!

That's way too late in my opinion. I think during school time they should not be out later that about 7.30ish and possibly occasionally during holidays out a bit later.

Have you got a hose pipe that you could accidentally spray on them?

Lol they'd prob enjoy that! They've only just moved to the area so wasn't enrolled in school yet but there would be no sight of them during the day but as soon as 7pm comes there out there all night! It's like their parents kick them out for some piece!

Thats way to Late ! We always have kids out in the road here but no later than 8pm and thats on holidays ! Its almost neglect ! xx

I'm gonna start having a word then! When I phoned the housing association they said there's nothing they can do cos it's kids being kids! Well I've got a gob so we'll soon see if the parents give a crap! Lol

The kids near us are the same and knock on your at 10:30 asking for the ball back and after so many times of giving them it I say no she the try and jump the back fence to get it make the dog go crazy and knock my fairy garden lights down lol I could kill them my kids are sound asleep and I have to put up with other ppl

Hi hun,

I posted a similar thread last week! There was a boy about 5 out at half 8!! It's crazy how late some of them are out, when I personally think they should be in their beds!

xxx

I would think 8pm is the latest on a non school night for a child under 10. Am I just neing naive?! If you want something done about it, you could call your HV, who is probably their HV too, and responsible for the child protection side of things. Letting your child play out at 10pm is neglectful IMO

thats terrible!!! they should be in bed! & i hate to say it but with everything thats happened over the years (& still does happen) with kidnapping, muder etc.... its not even that safe if they arent under close watch! i may be being a bit ott but still..... wtf are the parents doing?! and its a school night!!!!!

We had kids hanging around till 11pm opposite us last night, ok they were teenagers but still!

Open all your windows and play Radio 3 or 4 at high volume. That should shift them.

Or crazy as it sounds take them some tea and cakes and try and talk to them like their mother (should), again they will react in one of two ways 1) respond well and show respect or 2) Leave to somewhere where they don't get the hassle.

But do nip it in the bud, really good book about that is Rudi Guilliane "Leadership" about what he did in New York.

Yeah, my mum always says to put classic fm on and they'll dissapear quick! My neighbours got one of those cat defenders that squeaks really high pitched and I can bloody hear it, honestly kids wouldn't hang around that!

The kids around here are out til 11.30 sometimes...1/2 year olds. Sometimes they even go rummaging about in the back bins, or break up pieces of furniture or whatever they can find! And the language...I walked through a park thats right next to my door and i heard a 7yr old boy say to the other boy...hey you you wee f**ny i'm gonna kick you in the b*lls. looooooool - my children are defo not getting allowed out to play in this area.

:oooo:
