Hospital recommendations needed plz?

Hi ladies,

I've just got my appointment through to go see a gynaecologist who specialises in infertility. The only thing is i hate our hospital for various reasons mainly the fact that they failed to diagnose abscess in my throat which caused my throat to swell and almost close, had to have tubes and needles shoved down my throat, all whilst still awake! So needless to say i don't really trust them with my lady bits! lol

A friend of mine who also has infertility issues had recommended hull hospital, not sure if she means the royal infirmary or castle hill hospital, and i cant ask her till tomorrow.

So has any1 had any experience with any of these, preferably for infertility?? Or can you recommend a different hospital??

Hi Emma

Welcome to PF. I am sorry to hear you had such bad treatment at your hospital.

I cannot help you with the Hull area as I am from Essex, but you have a right to chose what NHS hospital you go to. I did not chose my local one as my father has actually sued them twice (and been successful) for negligent treatment with my 2 younger brothers!!! so I chose one further away.

I am not sure how many girls are on here from Hull or Humberside but if you do not get many responses (the girls on here are from all over the UK and Ireland) then it might be worth googling that question to see if anyone has added comments about your local hospitals for fertility. I googled the hospital in my area and liked what I heard about the hospital I chose. Having said that I am having private treatment as well.

Hopefully you get some good advice. The girls on hre are fab for ferility issues and know more than some GPs.
