Hey girlies do any of you have a handy list detailing everything that I should pack into my hospital bag?

I am pretty sure I have most things - just not altogether if that makes sense. I haven't bought any baby clothes yet so that bit is really important!

Thanks for any input you may have! xx

Sorry can't help you out but would love to see a list if anyone has one.

I thought there was a hospital bag sticky but maybe not! No doubt someone will come to our rescue beanster! x

i posted a thread with a list. i think it was called hospital bag too soon?

hope that helps. xxx

just been lurking around another forum and found a link but turns out it was useless! Thanks to the girlies who have already given some guidance! xx

If you look on the labour & birth section of the forum there is a sticky there about hospital bags. I think a lot of what you pack depends on what type of birth you are going for & what type of facilities your hospital has too.
Depending on the time of day you go in, pack some snacks & drinks for you & birthing partner. I packed Lucozade glucose tablets as I felt too sick to eat, but needed an energy boost & they worked perfectly. Ear plugs are good too, as my son slept through for first 2 nights, but I was kept awake by everyone elses babies!

awww thanks girls - those lists are fab! Sunnyb - great idea about the glucose tablets - thanks!x

Thanks for your help girlies.
Loads of things to think about there. I know we have a long way to go still but would like to think about what I need to start to get ready!

Your own roll of nice soft loo paper. When I was admitted a couple of weeks ago, I found the loo paper there like sandpaper! Not nice after giving birth I would imagine! So pack some nice soft stuff!! :)

Xx

A random one here...straws to sip your water easily as hubby can just hold it next to your mouth! Ha ha!

really helpful suggestions - will print a copy of this thread ready i think!
