My LO will be 15month when we fly to Cape Verde, it's a 6 hour flight and im so nervous, I have no idea what he's going to be like on the journey, he's my first baby too so im still learning every step of the way.

Does anyone have any tips?? Will be be watching cartoons by 15 month? He watched nursery rhymes at the moment but won't watch notmal cartoons like peppa.

The flights are day time flights as well. He's a very chilled out baby so im hoping he will be ok (praying)

Thanks xxx

We took our 10 month old to Menorca and it was fine but it was only a 2 hour flight and he slept most of the way there. I took snacks and some little toys for him to play with. Interested to see what other ideas people have as we've booked NYC in December which means an 8 hour flight with a nearly 17 month old eek! Xx

P.s. How is your lo's eczema doing now? Did you see the specialist?

Ahh I doubt he will sleep, he only has one nap in the day at the moment and that's only if we're home, if we're out and about or he's at the childminders he has about 40 mins and that's it lol, nosy boy!

His skin is so much better, we bath him everynight in aveeno oil and use dermol to wash him with, we use epaderm 4-5x a day to keep his skin moist, we saw the specialist and that's what he advised and it seems to work well, we also use hydrocortisone on any patches that flare up. What about you? xxx

We did Egypt which was 5 hours with nearly a 2 hr delay sat on the plane at 13 months. I packed a trunki with cplouring books, little sweets/biscuits plastic tea set. I also took her fave toys away about 7-10 days before so she was excited to see them again. She watched the iPad and we had a meal etc which took some time up. She did have half an hour nap too. I just filled her trunki with stickers, bubbles, magazines and lot of little things from the £1 shop and she loved it X

Ahh that's a good idea thanks, we've bought him a trunkie so ill buy him lots of little toys xxx

We use Dermol 600 in the bath and wash his hair with Dove Sensitive Beauty Bar which has stopped the eczema he was getting on his scalp. We use Mustela Stelatopia morning and night to moisturise him all over - it's a good moisturiser so we've been able to cut down to twice a day. We're still using hydro where we need it to stop any flares in their tracks. He's much better than he was thanks, I'm really hoping it goes altogether soon! xx

Where do you get the mustela stuff from? Ahh glad you lo is better :) my hubby had his exzema til he was about 7 and then it went, hoping isaac will be the same xxx

It's a French brand so you have to order it online. Escentual often have offers on it eg 1/3 off so may be worth waiting for the next offer if you want to try it and ordering a couple of bottles. You can also get it on Amazon but it'll be full price. Google it, lots of people find it really helps xxx

We'll be flying to spain when Felix will be 17 months (3 hour flight), with him being so energetic and not sitting still for 2 mins usually I'm quite anxious about the flight and driving.
We have just planned to take plenty of snacks, get some books and toys which are new that he hasn't seen before (this usually hold his attention for longer)and a tablet with some nursery rhymes, games etc.
I think other than that it'll be a metter of keeping them involved with everything, pointing things out to them, trying to make a game out of whatever possible and hope for the best!
