Hi all,
I am a married mum with two fabulous kids,we live in Cornwall. I had the coil out in March 2006 and have been TTC since then. I have had a few very early miscarriges in the 1st year and am feeling very disheartened by it all. I have PCOS and am seeing the Specialist in Reproductive medicine on the 23rd of this month,i'm already on Metformin and they are talking about starting me on Clomid,so fingers crossed. I know i have to lose weight, but i dont drink or smoke but i really enjoy food and admit that i comfort eat,in the New Year i am determinded to lose weight,if anyone has advice on a good diet while TTC i would be greatful. I have really irregular cycles,my last cycle was 117 days long and i am currently on around day 75  . Hope i havent bored you to tears.

On a very positive note,my sister phoned at the crack of dawn to say that after 2 years of trying her and her hubby have conceived on their 6th month on Clomid,i am finally goinging to be an Auntie

Hello sweetie, congratulations on becoming an auntie thats fantastic news!

Im overweight myself and have done slimming world on my previous pregnancies and found it great, you can just eat and eat and still lose weight. It doesnt feel like a diet at all. I would recoomend this as its midwife approved and also you can breastfeed on it.
Good luck at the specialist and hope you have some joy soon, there are a few ladies on here that are having trouble as well and are on clomid. So stick about! x

Hello and welcome to the forum

I hope all goes well with the specialist and that the Clomid works for you.
I'm on weightwatchers as i'm overweight due to ill health and that's a good diet as you can still eat whatever you want, just smaller portions!

Hi Ladies, thank you for the lovely welcome. I look forward to getting to know you all. Hopefully the Christmas break will bring us all some luck!

Hiya; welcome!

I have PCOS as well and have decided to go the non-drugs route. I've started taking some really good nutrients recommended by my holistic doctor which have helped me have regular cycles again, and I'm also taking agnus castus to help regulate my hormone levels. I just started taking that recently, but I know it's really helped others on the forum. I'm aware that Clomid can dry up some of your cm (cervical mucous), so you might want to up your daily water intake and possibly think about drinking grapefruit juice daily before you ovulate to ensure the right fertile fluid (EWMC) for the spermies. :D Also, if you don't chart, I highly recommend that so that you can keep track of what your body's doing (or attempting to do).

Happy bd-ing, and good luck!

Thanks Melissa for the heads up,i didnt know about Grapefruit juice. I cant take Agnus Castus as i have to take thyroxine for an underactive thyroid and apparently it interfers with it. Hope you have a good month, best of luck.

Hi  you are definitely in the right place here, there are sections on the forum for everything you have mentioned so you will have plenty of information if you need it. I have found the ladies on here are very supportive. Good luck and welcom
