Hi,
I'm pregnant with our 3rd child and having a very complicated pregnancy again!! My eldest was born at 30 weeks due to growth ******ation and my second had rhesus disease, which is basically where my body rejects the baby, by producing antibodies to the babies blood cells. I'm A neg and my partner is O positive so I produce antibodies to the positive blood. Our blood is incompatible. A bit like when you have a heart transplant and the body rejects it. This can only be treated with inter uterine transfusions on the baby whilst I'm still pregnant. I'm having scans every 2 weeks to see if baby is ok until they need to start transfusions.
We are having fetal genotyping done next week so we can see if baby has incompatible blood to me, or if we are worrying for nothing.
Look forward to meeting you all. x
