I have posted my reply to another thread as a new one as I thought it may be helpful.
I have a great tip for you girls with heartburn. Before my pregnancy I suffered ( and still do sometimes) with GORD. Thats Gastro oesophageal reflux disease!
Anyway, if you put a couple of small wooden blocks under each foot of the bed at the head end, it will tilt the bed and your body slightly to help with the acid reflux. You won't really notice it. More pillows don't really help as they just tilt the neck and your body is then crunched up. You need to have the whole body more upright and working against gravity to keep the acid in your stomach! Hope that helps some of you?
