Have got the Maxi Cosi cabrio fix and I've just taken the newborn insert out as she was all scrunched up in it. She seems fine size wise in it but I have noticed that when the seat is clipped in the base it makes her head tip forward.

Should I put the insert back in or can you buy or put something in to give her head more support??

This is a common problem with lots of infant car seats - the one I had did it in the base, the M&P ones seem to be the same as well. If you can put the insert in and she's not entirely squashed then I'd do it. Can you put the seat in without the base? This is what we ended up doing with ours as it allowed it to recline slightly more.

With the Maxi Cosi infant carrier you can take out the actual foam cushion from the head support, but put the outer of the head support back in the chair. This way the baby still has the side cushions to support the head but has more room in the chair :D
