I have so far put on about 12 pounds in 23 weeks, so haven't reached the golden stone mark yet. I am OK about that.

How about everyone else.??

I've put on 1 stone 4 pounds which according to my midwife is perfectly ok for where I am (24 weeks and 2 days) so I'm happy. Begining to get a couple of pink bits which look suspiciously like the beginings of stretch marks. :? The only extra food I'm having now is two slices of toast in addition to my morning cereal so I don't think I'm overeating. :D

Im very suprised i havent put on more weight.

my tipical day is

breakfast - 4 slices of toast, cup of tea

mid morning - cereal or more toast

lunch - 4 sandwhiches, crisps

mid afternoon - crisps or another sandwhich

dinner - kids left overs and what ever i have cooked for me and my OH

my OH doesnt get back from work till 7ish so i eat my dinner with the kids, but then i have it again at 7 when he gets home, so really i have 2 dinners plus anything my kids have left from theres.

through out teh evening - anything!!

lol so as you can see, i pack quite alot away in one day, but its not coz im bored, i really am hungry!

i have put on 1 stone and 3 lbs which i have been told is pretty avarage.

so im blaming the baby, hes a chubby pig already lol

I am reading my obstetrics card which says that I was 79 kilos when I got pregnant, but I lost three during the first trimester, which brought me down to 76. Then in about eight weeks I gained another kilo, which brought me up to 76 and I've suddenly bloomed to about 80! Which means that in the entire pregnancy so far I'm only about 2 lbs heavier than when i started, but I was overweight anyway and I think the baby took a lot of it at the start. I;ve been having a lot of sugary stuff lately though which has always been my downfall!

Hey Layla, I eat more than that, I daren't get on the scales but don't think I have put that much on. I still fit in my size 10 maternity trousers but my arse looks like a badly packed parachute!!

hey kim!

Id love to be a size 10, im not a small build girl tho, your so lucky lol

im a size 16, and so far am still fitting in all my maternity 16's that i brought.
i have noticed the tops of my legs and bum have got a bit flabby but im not to worried at this stage :)

I really like your attitude to eating and gaining weight etc from your other posts. Basically eat it if you want it and to hell with the weight, lose it later. There's far too much pressure to be thin and what better excuse is there than being PG? lol!!

spot on, everyone tries to be thin to "fit in" then they make themselfs ill.

the avarage size for a UK woman is 14 - 16 but most girls see that as being to big.

i dont stop myself having anything, just keep things in moderation, well try to, being pregnant is an expection to the rules! lol

if your that determind to lose teh weight you have gained, for what ever reason, then you will lose it. if you dont go in to it 100% then you will fail, simple as that really.

so right now, coz im pregnant, i am eating what i want and how ever much i want, i love food so its my 9 months of indulgence, hehe

but if i didnt think i would 100% work at loseing teh weight after, then i would watch what i was eating now.

I have no idea how much weight I've gained!! I haven't checked!! don't think I will either lol I eat like a Pig!!

hello

i weigh at 191 now and before preg i was about 165-170, which i think is a lot. Not sure, how much that is in England???? I was a snug size 13 before preg and too was considered over weight by a lot of people, but as long as were healthy, why does it matter??? Hope you all are doing okay. As for as cravings i havent had much .....yet lol
Well take care
Katrina

Thta's all really interesting.. I don't knnow what's wrong with me but my eating habbits have changed. I am shocked that i am not craving anything, I just have the feeling that I have to eat healthy (and I am not controlling this at all). I suddenly read all the packets of whatever I buy, and I am really careful about eating sweets. I never liked sweets, but I was looking foward to enjoying them thorugh pregnancy NOT A CHANCE!

I am a size 10 and only gaining in the belly (and Boobs, I hate that though, looks funny on me.... lol) I am kind of worried that my belly is not bigger. I am like 27 weeks almost and you can only tell that I am pregnant, when I turn to the side.

MY DAILY INTAKE: GOD I LOVE FOOD NOW!!!

Breakfast - Large bowl of Cornflakes, with 1 whole sliced banana and warm milk. warm milk tastes soooo good!!!

Throughout the day - Guava juice ( 2 large glasses)
Milk (3 large glasses)
Water ( 3 large glasses, I hate water) Pints
2-3 oranges
1 mango (depending on if
i haven't eaten them all...)
1 banana more
Lunch - toasted cheese + tomato, or fresh meat sandwich with a plate of fruit.

Supper - Fresh cooked chicken, steak or rice dish with salad

8ish - ICECREAM and oranges..

I also use to love the fat and skin of chicken, now I won't even think about it. I guess I am pregnnat after all... It wasn't until I was half way through writing this, that I noticed how my body and food habits have totally changed WOW (excuse me while I sit a little shocked here!!)

I never ate healthy before, I really lived for MC Donalds, Taco Bell and Wendy's YUM. The little baby is telling me what to do, maybe that's why I have not had any cravings, my whole diet has changed to be really healthy.. STRANGE how this has happened to me.

I EVEN LOVE LINSEED BREAD and 5 Seed Bread, I eat it by the dozens, all I ate before was while sliced bread, now I can't stand it....

I hope I keep to this routine!! I wonder if that is the case with people.

Let me know more about your food habits..

Well I'm a size 14-16 and I'm proud of it! :D :D :D :D

My nan was my size and she was fit and strong and she lived until she was 93!

The only reason I am watching my weight is because I used to be obese and it was hell getting the weight off so I am just being sensibly aware of not going silly. I'm still enjoying my food though!

I am also very aware of my friend who just went for it with the food and is still 20 stone as a result which frightens me, as it would just be too daunting to lose that amount.

I hit my first stone on at the weekend, which I am please with.

However there is a possibility that I might not gain too much more because I have just had some extra blood tests done as I have suspected pregnancy diabetes and if it is confirmed I will have to cut back on sugar and fat and do even more exercise than I am doing already!

Otherwise I will have a massive baby that will have to be delivered by C-section!

Will do as I am told!

Ouch Sarah! Do exactly as they say!
Are you feeling ok though?

I feel absolutely fine, which is the wierd thing.

I have now been 'blooming' for about 15 weeks! (apart from my very painful tailbone which drives me nuts)

I am still exercising and my diet is reasonable. Not great but it could be a hell of a lot worse. I eat stacks of fruit and veg and don't eat excessive amounts of sugary or fatty food.

My only worry is that at the scan I was already told that the bean was bigger than average, so if I do have gestational diabetes I could end up with a very fat baby and endure more extra pain and complications, which I don't want.

If I am told to cut out sugar, I won't need any extra convincing!

i think i have put about a stone on so far! not too worried though
