I am curious about doulas. Are they worth the extra money? What do they provide that you won't normally get from your midwife or anyone else? I have read good things, but on doula websites, which of course will say they are great.
I'm going to train as one when i have finished my degree in Homeopathy...I have a friend who is one is Aus but trained here....It an incredible service they offer, i would highly recommend one.
Can you tell me what they do? So far I have read they give you a long massage during labour and remind you to pee while you are pregnant. I know there is more to it than that, but I can't think of what they do apart from what a midwife can do.
