Has anyone else been given a vaginal pessary for a short cervix?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone else has been offered this? At my hospital they are participating in a clinical trial run by Kings College that is looking at prediciting pre term labour from the length of your cervix and offering a pessary as a non surgical form of treatment.
