Which went with the nuchal scan, chance of Down's is 1-1814, Edwards 1-19625, and Patau's is 1-14467, so been advised Im low risk and no need for further testing :D

That's great news! There's nothing worse than getting higher risk results, they throw you into such a dilemma. I had a triple test when I was expecting my son & it came back as 1 in 250 chance of having a baby with Down's. I then had to decide whether or not to have an amnio which carried a 1 in 100 chance of mc. I paid for private tests & scans which gave better odds. After these I decided against the amnio & 5 months later gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
Just wishing you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy xxx

That's really good news!

Is it necessary to have the bloods tests for these or not? My doctor wants me to have them, but if they were to come back with a high percentage i wouldn't want to do amnio.. I think I will just tell her I don't want them doing.

I was told if i had the bloodtests at 15weeks, i would prob come back as high risk due to my age, so went and had a nuchal scan and bloods as it is more accurate, had to pay private for it though, as NHS in wales no longer do them

Well i know I'm the lowest risk at the moment with my age etc so don'T really want any unnessacary tests if I can avoid them. I have all my treatment privately anyway so thats not a problem im used to paying for everything unfortunately.

Great news Rosa :)
I'm having my scan tomorrow and here we get the Nuchal scan included xx

That is absolutely brilliant. These couldn't be much better! So happy for you. This is my worry due to age, and would be over the moon to get results like those. Xx
