Been feeling sorry for myself all day at work, I blacked out yesterday morning and collapsed which was so scary! I thought I was going to be sick coz I went all dizzy so I went to the bathroom and was about to sit down on the floor and then I cant remember anything after that. I remember my hearing went and everything just went black. The next thing I remember was my OH running in to help me up and get me a drink and a cold flannel because I was sweating so much. I have bruised all the side of my face where I collapsed into the toilet :( Anyone else had blackouts? I have read in my book that its common but it was still scary!

I had a moment the other week where I was close to passing out. I just managed to lie on the bed and managed to pull myself around. Lucky my OH was there. I have had afew moments where I have felt dizzy and like I was going to pass out but it hasn't come to anything. Im a fainter anyway and do it alot pregnant or not but you never get used to it hun. Ive also heard its quite common in pregnancy and I think (dont quote me thou) that its more then likely to be down to you blood pressure?

Oh dear, i hope you are ok now though? I've never had a black out or fainted but i've been close to.
I've heard it is common on pregnancy, As mrsbrightside said it could be down to blood pressure, why not give your
midwife a ring?

I almost blacked out on the train yesterday! It's the first time this has happened. It is really scary but I knew I had to put my head between my knees so jumped off the train, found a seat and did just that. Got some funny looks but no one asked if I was ok. I don't know whether that's just London for you. Still, was scary as I felt my ears ringing and my lips went icey cold. I thought it was low blood sugar so I had a quick Go-ahead bar during the train journey today and was fine. I'll see how I go but am definetely going to keep some form of sugar on my person...not too much of a hardship!! I love this forum as I don't feel so alone when these odd things happen - it really is a comfort!

I've not fainted yet but I've got 'wooly' vision and the ringing in my ears a few times, along with feeling very very hot - I just stop still and hold onto a wall. The scariest was on an escalator on the tube - thought I was going to fall all the way down.

I've always suffered with anemia though and this is pretty common to me pregnant or not so I know I just have to stop completely still and take deep breaths until it passes then I *usually* don't faint.

Then I eat something :)

Hey Hun hope your feeling better and ur black and blue bits are fadin ! xxxx

Aw hun, bet that was scary - sorry don't have any advice though
