Growing seeds

Ok, this might sound a bit thick, but I am really the monst un - green- fingerd person I know, but I would really like to grow some seeds with my girlies. Any ideas of things that are hard to kill and are best planted at this time of year

Cress is an absolute winner and a doddle to do inside if it's still a bit early for outdoor planting.

Once March is here I'd suggest some spinach and rocket in the garden. Grows fast (kids need quick results) and is such a fortune to buy in the shops!

Yep, cress is easy and you can even grow it on a halved potato, or some kitchen towel which you keep moist.

We bought a mushroom kit the other week and have enjoyed our first crops of mushrooms and they were lovely.

As the season goes on sunflowers are great, too.

Peanuts are fun to grow (but don't expect any nuts off them)
