Hi, everybody! I want to ask your advice. Is there anybody here who have decided to go abroad to get its egg donation program& I’m English, but four years ago I married a guy from Germany. At present we live in Berlin. Two years ago both of my ovaries were extracted because I had large cysts on them. However, I have a womb, so I can conceive if I use a donor egg. Unfortunately, egg donation is prohibited in Germany, so we have to go somewhere abroad to get a donor egg.
We have read loads of information about various reproductive clinics in the internet, and got interested in a Ukrainian one. It is called Biotexcom. The clinic is situated in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine.
Overall, we found loads of favorable feedbacks about it in the net and visited its official website where we could read about the clinic’s services and its fees.
Two weeks ago we came back from Ukraine and were really puzzled what we saw in a real life…
The clinic turned to be a small private house with various doctor’s offices. The halls are so overcrowded that some clients even had to sit on the stairs. The staff was too busy. I guess if they could, they would run.
I didn’t like the clinic’s administrator. Her eyes, voice and facial expression proved that she was nervous and really tired of communicating with the patients. The phone rang every ten minutes, and the administrator didn’t have time to answer.
There were large queues everywhere. We had to wait nearly an hour before the doctor was ready to meet us. While waiting in the queue, we got acquainted with one French couple. They were also getting their egg donation program there. They told us loads of things about the clinic, and we were really shocked by the fact how careless the clinic managers were.
Firstly, the clients always have to wait in the queue. Sometimes they even have to come the following day to get a doctor’s consultation. Our new male acquaintance told us that he had to wait nearly two hours before they were able to pick up his sperm, and it made him so tired and nervous…
We visited another reproductive clinic in Kiev named Mat I Ditia. The atmosphere was different there: a quiet and empty hall, a smiling administrator and a very soothing doctor.
We’ve decided not to sign up a contract with any clinic yet. Now we are pondering what to do further: to contact one of Ukrainian clinics or look for something else? What do you think about it??? Maybe, there is someone else who has already been in Ukraine and had his egg donation program there???

Hello

I know a few ladies on here have had IVF on here (FBTTN being one of them, and she's currently expecting twins). She used the Serum clinic (in Athens I think). I'm not sure if any had to use an egg donor but I guess their overall review and feeling of the clinic will give you a good indication as to how they are with things generally. It's a big thing to go through so if you're not getting good vibes then it's probably best to look around.

Good luck xx

Phoenix is right we went and used serum in Athens and they are amazing! We used own eggs but they have a lot of ladies that cycle with donor eggs with a lot of success. I would highly recommend them, Peny who runs the clinic is amazing she and her staff have time for everyone and are so helpful and supportive xx

Hi!
I’m new to this forum, and I also have some problems with my fertility. I need a donor egg cause I have a very low ovarian reserve. Like you, sunnyqueen, I’m looking for a fertility clinic to conceive and give birth to my child. What I should say??? Oh… it’s tiresome, really tiresome!!! I’ve already contacted 10 clinics and haven’t chosen any!!!
Sunnyqueen, in your first post you’ve written about one Ukrainian clinic. I’ve also read several threads about it, and some ladies really praise it. I know that NHS in Ukraine is a poor one. One of my friends was in Ukraine several weeks ago. He had some health problems and contacted one of their state hospitals. He told us so many weird things about his visit, that I’m not surprised that you were treated in such way.
The number of private clinics is really small in Ukraine. In addition, they are too expensive for an ordinary citizen, so most of the patients tend to pay a visit to national clinics. They all sit there in big queues. It’s something like a Ukrainian tradition
I think a great number of patients on your visit day made you wait in a queue for such a long time.
You’ve written about the unfriendly staff. It’s partially true. My friend also told me about a super angry nurse :eh: But it doesn’t mean that you should give up!!! He told me that Ukrainians are very kind people, so a bad clinic administrator isn’t a reason to give it up.
I would recommend you to get to know about the number of successful IVFs with DE conducted in this clinic. It will be the best testimonial to prove whether the clinic is good or bad one…
Good luck!!! Keep in touch xx

Myself I know a few ladies who fell pregnant at Invicta (or Invita not sure) Poland. They have been really satisfied with the services. All the best with your search

If I were in your shoes, I would ask myself: ‘Do I trust these doctors or not?’ When a TTC couple contacts fertility specialists, they often seek for hope and understanding. We like when people speak with us politely, but a successful infertility treatment depends greatly on the doctor’s expertise.
Two years ago I used to treat my PCOS at one clinic. I liked everything in it: the building, the administrator and, of course, the doctor. She seemed so pleasant and sweet. I thought that she was a great specialist and would help me… However, I got only a big treatment bill and a zero result, because my doctor prescribed me only herbal Chinese medications.
I advise you to pay more attention to the doctor who will conduct your ED program. If he is a good specialist, you shouldn’t loose your chance to become a mummy…

Sweetorange, I think you are right in some way. When we contact a reproductive clinic, we always hope to find some help to conceive there. I totally understand that I’m going to pay money for the result for a courteous staff and soothing doctor. The attitude that Biotexcom showed to its clients isn’t a good one, but they do have good results. I’ve got acquainted with a woman on one of German fertility forums. She’s nearly 50 now. Three years ago, she went to Ukraine and got her ED program there. She got pregnant after the second attempt. Before going to Kiev, she had several BFN attempts in Russia. She told me that the key moment in her successful ED program was the doctor in charge. She prescribed her certain vitamins and, finally, she managed to get pregnant.
Frankly speaking, I don’t know what to do now… We were in Kiev, but we didn’t like the way we were treated there… However, it’s the second favorable feedback about the Biotexcom specialist I meet in the net. I phoned the clinic two days ago, and they are ready to meet us in Kiev again. Maybe, I should give Biotexcom a second chance?

Have you looked into clinics in other countries that offer the same?

Hi, FBTTN8079! There are loads of ED offers in the net. Each clinic claims that its specialists are the best, so it’s difficult to make the right choice without doing something. Yes, of course, I googled up to ten various European clinics. But if we speak about Ukraine, Biotexcom seems to be one of the most effective Ukrainian reproductive clinics according to internet feedbacks. I also visited the fertility forum Probirka to find information about several Russian clinics. And again, there are both positive and negative feedbacks about it there…

sunnyqueen - probirka is OK, but it mainly referrs Russian invitro clinics. Check out baby ru, and I am not sure, but have a look at hochydetky.com.ua. There is also dedicated thread/international threads on ferlityfriends. co.uk I personally opt for Czech clinics if we consider Eastern European destination. I come across tons of positive opinions and reviews on clinics in Zlin and Praga. Very informative is eggdonationfriends com. You can complete their online questionnaire and will get reports on Ukrainian clinics or clinics that best suit yr needs. I hope this is of some help

Hi sunnyqueen! I can't say for sure if biotexcom is good clinic or not. Our surrogacy procedure with this clinic has just started. We had our first meeting with our doctor in August. It's too early to say if we are happy with our choice or not, but I have good feeling. I have some complains though. The clinic was actually full of people during our appointment. Lines were so long I thought it would take forever to wait for our turn. There were so many pregnant women... I should say I was a little bit sad because of that. It's so hard to know that I can't carry a baby and I will never be able to do that. But of course I'm happy I can use such opportunity as surrogacy. All those people gave me hope I'll become mother soon and I will never remember about my problem again. We picked package for €39.900. Services were average. We were met and headed to the clinic. Our apt was simple, not really comfortable. Our interpreter was very busy so we couldn't ask her everything we wanted. We've got all needed info from our doctor, but still there were some questions and things we wanted to talk about... Now we are waiting when the clinic will find surrogate mother for us. I hope it will be soon... Girls told that search usually takes 2-3 months. I hope we'll also get our surro mommy in this period of time. I'll post more details later) I wish you luck, girls! I hope you're doing fine.

Hi, Sunnyqueen and all participants of this forum. I decided to write here because I have a positive experience of dealing with this clinic. I went there to conceive with my tough PCOS and got a positive result from the second short. I should say that this clinic has both pros and cons. One of the biggest pros is good fertility specialists who work there. When my first attempt ended with BFN result, they asked to pass one more vagina infections test which revealed that I did have one at that time. I cured it and the next month we went to Kiev and I finally conceived. As for the cons, you have to wait a long time in the queue because they have loads of clients to deal with. Sometimes, they ask to wait because they need to consult a surrogate or something else. All these things take time and make you feel annoyed a little bit…

Girls, thanks for your feedbacks about the clinic! I’ve recently read a very interesting article which gave some clues how to become pregnant. The author of this article advises women to do sports regularly to make the blood circulate well and consume fruits and vegetables every day. I agree with him and even started to make various salads daily. My husband isn’t a big lover of fruits and vegetables but I make him eat healthy food too. In addition, I forbid him to drink beer.
Girls, I just want to get to know if you did anything special to enhance your chances to conceive. I understand that loads of things depend on the donor egg quality and fertility specialists. But I’m sure if I improve my health greatly before the embryo will be transferred inside me, I’ll get more chances to become pregnant…

I think you do right steps, but it would be nice if you get a doctor consultation before doing anything. I mean you may have an allergy on certain fruits or vegetables, so it will be nice if you check the things. I’m really sorry for your hubby… Maybe, you should leave him alone. As for beer, as far as I know it doesn’t make good for the male organism so it will be nice if he drinks it very little. From my personal experience, I would recommend you to do some exercises or fitness. Sport will make you healthier, you will see!

Hi! I was always interested in the way you are going to choose a donor. If you want to have a child who resembles you greatly, you have to find a woman who is alike you in some way. Am I right? I think it’s impossible because we are all unique. Why don’t you want to adopt? Does it really matter for you to carry and give birth to a child who will never be yours genetically?

We thought about adoption, and I think we will adopt a baby girl or boy as soon as our own child will be born. I know that this child won’t be genetically mine, but I love my husband very much and I want to give birth to his son or daughter. I know that I will love him too very much. Finding a good donor isn’t easy, but Biotexcom has a large donors’ database. We sent them a short description of the woman that will suit us. They promised to show us a 3D photo of women from their database. I think it will be easy for us to choose an appropriate donor for us.

sunnyqueen- good news. Keep my fingers crossed x

Really glad for you, sunnyqueen! Your husband and you will do a good deed if you adopt a child. It’s really great!!! But I’m also keen to know whether the clinic offers you frozen or fresh eggs. I have a female acquaintance. She lives in Germany and she also has some problems with health. She decided to try her luck in Russia. The doctors of the Russian fertility clinic used frosties for her ED program. She did several IVFs with donor eggs but wasn’t able to conceive. Only an IVF with a fresh egg gave her a positive result.

I also want to use fresh eggs for my program, and biotexcom gives such an opportunity! When the donor is chosen, I’ll have to take birth control pills to synchronize my periods with the donor’s. Then we’ll have to come to Kiev for the second time to pick up my husband’s sperm to fertilize the eggs and to transfer embryos into my uterus. The first test should be done in two weeks. Up to this time they require to take hormone medicines. If the result is positive, the medicines should be taken up to the twelfth week of pregnancy.

Wow, this is incredible Sunnyqueen! Sounds like you'll get an ideal match :)
