Full if a cold...what to take???

Hi ladies
I am 5 weeks pregnant and full of a cold..I have been using a vicks nasal stick but I am really struggling with a headache and a blocked nose at night. I have taken a few paracetamol which helps but I suffer a lot with sinusitis and I am worried if I can't shift the cold it will get worse and im not sure if you can take antibiotics when your pregnant. Can anyone recommend anything??

Try a forehead stick. I think those are great for headaches. Otherwise its the traditional, head over a bowl of hot water under a towel & hot vimtos with paracetamol if absolutely necessary. Do not take cold & flu capsules as they contain caffeine.

I'm absolutely not trying to scare anyone, this is just a recent animal study that found that female rats were born will less eggs if their mothers took paracetamol in pregnancy... there are lots of 'may's & 'could's as they haven't studied this in humans I don't think, but it was all over the press in Jan this year;
