Hi eveyone, ive done a clearblue conception preg tests which says im 3 to 4 wk pg, but I cant get in at the docs until tomorrow. What will happen at the appointment? and sorry that isnt about food at all haha. Could you just help are there any foods I should eat? I know about raw fish, but is it all fish? is there anything else and anything that is particularly good? My Aunty said milk was good? I guess milk is always good! Anyway, thanks for any help.

Congratulations! There are certain fish that contain high levels of mercury-fresh tuna and swordfish- so it's reccommended you only eat these like once a week. Think fish in general is reccommended to be eaten only once or twice a week. Be super careful with shellfish! Don't eat raw eggs (runny) they have to be hard boiled/completely cooked, bloody meat (boo I'm really missing my steak!), pate, unpasturised milk products (feta cheese, blue cheese, brie etc). Pasteurised milk is fine, wonderful in fact! There's quite a long list of what not to eat, google it? x good luck and congrats again x

big congrats hun xx

you should limit the amount of caffiene as well it can be bad for you

mayonaise is another one not to have as it often has uncooked eggs in (at least I think that's why!)

You can have jar Mayo but not homemade!

Thanks ladies, ive been and bout a book about it to help me out. Thats what the doc said when I asked if cramp pains were normal "maybe you should get yourself a book" . . . lovely x

I think the girls have covered most things :)

Just out of interest, have they changed the wording on the conception indicator tests? I didn't think they said 3-4?
