Posted in LLTC also, but I guess there is more 'traffic' through TTC.

Following our first doctors appt regarding our TTC issues, the Doctor told me to start taking folic acid which I have been doing now for almost one complete month.

I think this may have lengthened my cycles? Has anyone else had this?

I typically have a 28 day cycle, albeit the last few months its been 24/25/26. Day 26 is today and I think (i no longer track O) that I O'vd yesterday or day before. Typically I was O'ing day 18 / 19.

Perhaps I am worrying unnecessarily but I just hope it hasn't started to mess with my cycles ....

Any experiences?

Thank you

Hi hun :) sorry no experience with this. Didn't want to read and run. hope you get your answer soon x

I've been taking it for about 4-months and haven't noticed any change in mine

I have also been taking them also, but also taking other things for my cycle so I wouldnt be able to fully answer that. Sorry. But I hope you get the answers youre looking for :)

Thanks ladies, appreciate you responding. I have a follow up appt for my various test results shortly so will raise it. I guess i am just looking for reassurance in the meantime. xx

I've been taking pregnancy vitamins for 4 months, I've not had any difference in cycle length x

Is it just straight folic acid? I read some similar things about pregnacare so stopped that switched to seven seas. Both supplements contain folic acid

I think folic acid is important - so I would continue taking if it

Its just straight folic acid from boots. My Doctor told me not take the multi pregnancy vitamins until my tests have been run.

Maybe its just a dodgy cycle and its just coincidence.

Thanks girls for responding.

I think it'll just be coincidence, folic acid is so important when TTC so you mustn't stop taking it x good luck x

I didn't notice folic acid making any difference to my cycles.
