First scan on Monday!!!!

Well, only two more sleeps til I have my first scan so getting very excited but feeling nervous at the same time... I just want to make sure there is something there as I am dying to tell everyone (only my mum and dad know so far). Planning on telling everyone else this week - got a couple of meals booked for his family to tell them the good news!
Not had anything through from the hospital though so should I drink anything before going? Heard you sometimes need a fullish bladder to help the scan...x

Yeah hun a full bladder is always better and clearer to see bubbs.

you will love it! I would drink 500mls of water about half an hour prior to your scan, dont do what I did and drink almost a litre..the sonographer said there was an ocean in my bladder! Good luck, can't wait to see your piccies! xx

I did the same Rosies mummy lol she told me to go for a little wee hahah if thats possible, basically wee a little bit out, sorry for tmi haha.

Ihad a really full bladder and got a clear picture, probably varies from person to person. How on earth do you wee a little bit when you're bursting?! Thats an impossible request! Good luck with your scan you must be so excited! We wanna see pictures! x

the advice i'd give u is just drink enough as i drank 2 much and cudnt relax as was hurting when she was pressing on lol! and try not 2 worry 2 much this is what i did and cudnt enjoy the scan. hopefully my 20 week scan i'm more relaxed.

had one last thurs. full bladder is great for out side scan but if they do internal one she let me go to bathroom ahead of time. it will make you want to pee!! good luck!!

My letter said to drink a pint of fluid within the hour before the scan. Now that was tough enough but because the appointments run late due to emergencies I had to sit for another 45 minutes with my legs crossed, bouncing up and down, walking about, def too much fluid!! Enjoy, it's a wonderful experience!!!

I think thats why my pics were clear too
