Feeling low...

...because I think I missed it this month. I thought I would ovulate about day 14, which I did last month, but this time I think it came early just to spite me. I started getting some EWCM on Thursday, which was only day 11, and did an OPK that night which was positive. Then DH "couldn't" that night and we hadn't since the Monday before so no swimmers to catch the egg. We BDed the next morning but I've been temping this month for the first time and my chart says I definitely ov'ed on the Thursday and missed it. I'm so sad about it I could cry. Only obviously can't because still at work.

Sorry to be dramatic, I seem to be getting PMT and cramps all through my cycle at the minute so that probably doesn't help.

Can anyone help me interpret my chart? Was it definitely Thursday? I've never done these before and I don't really know what I'm looking for.

Hi Lucy,

Your chart does look like you ov'd on Thursday as you have had a temperature shift since then. But if you BD'd Friday morning there is still every chance you caught the egg don't give up hope just yet.

I think I may have done the opposite to you last cycle as I thought I ov'd earlier than I actually did so we bd'd too early and not on my ov day because I had completely misread the signs

I think your best bet is to try to bd every other day throughout then you have the best chance. We didn't do that last cycle so we are gonna do our damndest to try and do it this one.

I would have thought it was wednesday? I thought you OVd on the last day your temp is down, before it goes up?

Thanks for your replies. It makes me feel better to be able to have a moan sometimes.

I think it probably was Thursday because I had a few symptoms I guess... Next month I'm definitely going to try every other day, only with my DH that isn't always as easy as it sounds. I'm just going to have to find the energy to be creative!

I'm in a similar position as you so I can understand your frustration. OH wasn't up for it all week (he was so tired he was falling asleep on the sofa 10 mins after getting in from work), tried to "persuade" him on Thursday but no go, we did eventualy on Friday evening after work but I OV'd on Thurday so I have even less of a chance than you by about 12 hours

This happened to me last month as well, I'm tempted to suggest he freezes some samples when he's feeling well so I can defrost and inject them at the right time

Hopefully next month will be the month for both of us
