About labour and birth, and having a new baby! Is this normal?! I was expecting to be really nervous and scared but it's all just left me! Maybe it's because I'm overdue but I just feel
Totally ready for it now and not at all scared! I do hope I'm not lulling myself into a false sense of security! Anyone else feel at ease with it or sm I a bit of a freak?! X

I have been really calm about the whole labour thing till this last week! Its not so much the pain its more the worry that she'll be ok, and that everything will go ok. Glad you're feeling calm about it hun

x

I totally understand. I've been stressing about the weight of te baby and giving birth (my dd2 was 9lb 9oz and traumatic birth) but in the last 2 weeks I've been totally zen about it. I think I've just got to the stage where I want him to come and I don't care what I have to go through to get him.

It's scary because it's almost like the calm before the storm.

I have been totally calm throughout until last week and have been a bit of a nervous nellie but hopefully it'll naff off again in the next few weeks as I hope to be zen and cool by d day!

I was calm with my other two which like you confused me! But I realised that it was prob due to that baby was term, had to come out one way or another and was no going back so worrying wasn't going to help. I was more worried about making it to hospital in time...that's my only worry this time too. X X

Ive been very nervous etc about the birth until the last week or so and i feel soooo excited now! I think its because ive been around a lot of babies and new mums and seen how happy they are. Plus ive heard loads of great birth stories lately so im much less stressed about it x

I'm glad you guy are all calm. In hypnobrithing the fundamental rule is stay calm. If your body produces adrenaline or goes into fight or flight you are not relaxed and it makes it much harder to deliver. Women in coma's can deliver their babies becuase their body and the baby knows what to do without any help.

I hope i'm as good at practicing what I preach when my time comes! 39 weeks today and not as much as a twitch...

I'm feeling calm about it all as I am just thinking about the end product. I just can't wait to meet him and be a little family!! xx

i felt totally calm with number 2, 3, 4 and 5 but this time i was a bit stressed about it because of the non induction but now i feel like its ok because its coming out anytime soon lol.

It's great that you are so calm - I remember being totaly stressed all thru pregnancy with my son - all the if's and but's etc but when the time came I was totally calm!

xx

im still a few weeks away yet but i feel totally fine with the whole labour thing.

my only panick and stress is will everything be ready. i feel like ive got so much to do. my dad is coming to take our junk to the tip so i can do babys room but unless he can make it friday or sat this week it wont be for another 3 weeks. that is driving me round the bend as i will be 34/35 weeks by then and need to know at least his room is ready for him.

sorry ranting. told you im panicing. xxx
