My parents only had me and my sister, and my mums sisters that live in the same road, one had 3 girls and the other had one girl.

So we here are kind of surrounded by girls all the time, and as we live in the same road as each other we are all walking in and out of each other houses.

So yesterday I bumped in to my mum food shopping and we bought our first pack of nappies, (stocking up now!) and when she got home she said to my dad, I saw Katie shopping and she was getting HER nappies, my dad's response was, " What another bloody girl, oh for F sake, can't we have some boys around here, I want to take someone to football and motorbikes" - Think he has made his mind up what he wants the baby to be.

Has any of your family members said anything like this.

My MIL mentioned that she prefers boys to girls when she was drunk  lol. Nice! If I find out we're having a girl, I'm going to point it out! xx

aww thats sweet that your dad wants a grandson :) i'm sure he will be happy with another girl though, what ever he says, sounds like if you have a boy to he will be so spoiled by his grand dad.

our families live ages away so havnt seen any of them in months but i'm sure when we do they will all have thier guesses. i know OH's parents already have 1 grandson so think they would like a grand daughter but my parents dont have any yet, although think my dad would like us to have a boy :)

xx

My friends have quite openly said that won't have much interest if it's a boy. They want a little girl to dress up in pretty clothes etc. OH wants a boy and i'm not too fussed either way, but kinda makes you feel a little pressured knowing that someones going to be dissappointed whatever the result lol xx

I think the poor man just wants a fellow male! :) My dad wanted a boy and low and behold I'm a girl. But he took me fishing, to the football etc and now I'm a fully fledged tomboy wondering how the hell I'll cope if its a girl haha!

xx

everyone guesses girl, family tradition goes girl then boy.... im not bothered either way really tho if pressed id say girl too lol

My mum's convinced we are having a boy, but said to my best mate "I'd love her to have a girl because then she'd realise what a pain in the arse you all are" :shakehead:

And my youngest nephew doesn't want a cousin, he wants a puppy

Becuase they couldn't get a clear picture from our scan as baby had legs crossed at last minute they thought it was a boy but there not 100% yet so when I told my mum she was like 'well carn't you go back and get them to move the baby so we know'

and my sister was like 'Can you give it back if it comes out a boy'

I give in.

My brother said that if it is not a boy he isn't buying it christmas presents. He's an arrogant 21 year old though so his opinion doesn't mean much to me in the grand scheme of things xx

nothing about the sex-but my nan did come up to me when she knew and said (Little note my OH is alleric to nuts):

"When you buy nipple cream make sure it doesn't have nuts in coz if Russell (OH) ever goes for a little play you don't want him dying!"

Hahaha i just wanted to crack up but said thanks Nan i'll make sure it doesn't! :)

I think my mum was excited that my 2nd might be a girl but it's another boy which I'm thrilled to pieces about.

My workmate on the other hand, her daughter is expecting her 2nd boy (no girls) and went into a complete angry rant, she was so cross! Didn't seem to care if the baby was health or not, the one thing the nan took from the scan was that the baby was another 'sodding boy'. Feel sorry for the daughter.

I told my brother we were having a little girl and he said, "oh good I won't feel I need to impart words of wisdom then".

I think most of my family want me to have a girl but my nephew wants a boy... we think girl but team yellow... but as soon as the baby is here they will love it no matter what tho x

I was lucky that everyone said it was a boy and went on about boys all the time...as it then turned out we are having a boy! Before we knew though it was really getting me down, started to think I would be the only one to love baby if baby was a girl etc, brought me to tears more than once. Looking back now I can see I was being silly but I know how you feel, as soon as they know you will see a change in them x

I was hopin for a boy as both mine and DHs family history is girls born first. I wanted to be different! Pip prover us right today so I'm well chuffed. My nan always says she doesn't like boys and has never treated my brothers the same as she has treated me so I'm worried how she will react - her only granddaughter having a boy but she will have to lump it cos we r ecstatic and everyone else can go stuff themselves if they don't like it!!!

Mine is the second grandchild for my side of the family, I have a niece (another reason I wanted a boy) so my family were made up to have a grandson!

DHs family r made up it's a boy - my mil has seen a JCB bed she wants to get! Lol!

My three year old neice wants a little girl cousin because "cousins ate like sisters, and I already have a brother - that's enough boys!"

My bro & SIL have a bet on it! Lol

Xxx
