Morning! I'm just over 36 weeks so not long now! I want to avoid going over time and really don't want to have a sweep ( the thought of it freaks me out ) so thinking of natural ways of inducing labor.

Have heard about evening primrose oil and have a few questions.

    1. Is it 100% safe and recommended by midwifes?
    2. When should I start taking it?
    3. How much should I take?
    4. Does it work? :)

    thanks! xx

    1. Is it 100% safe and recommended by midwifes? Not sure lol
    2. When should I start taking it? I started it from 33 weeks as I was having a sweep at 36 weeks and needed my cervix to be favourable
    3. How much should I take? I took it aggressivley (orally) 5 x 500mg tablets per day totalling 2500mg
    4. Does it work? I was 1cm dilated by the time I had my sweep so I guess it helped for me :)

It is suppose to be more beneficial if you insert it like a pessaryx
