Hey

I've just finished sorting out Isaac's wardrobe and he hasn't really got any 3-6 month sleepsuits or vests or not alot else if I'm honest! I thought I had bought loads while I was pregnant but obviously not!

What I'm asking you is what you think about buying second hand clothes from ebay? I have already had some clothes given to me by a friend of my sisters and although I don't know the girl who gave them to me she doesn't seem like a stranger because my sister is her friend so I'm not sure how I feel about buying clothes from a stranger on ebay for Isaac?

Hope you know what I'm getting it lol I don't explain myself very well sometimes :)

Lou

I got nearly all of Rubies first clothes on there because I couldn't find anything to fit her in the shops. Yeah it was second hand, but I washed it all, so who cares? I will buy second hand to save a few pennies, and I will accept anything given to me, I'm not a snob lol

oh please dont get me wrong I'm not a snob. I have bought loads of stuff for myself from ebay but I dont know why but it just seems different for Isaac. I suppose its because you dont know if the clothes have had sick on them or pooh! I know I can wash them so I think it just me being too much of a clean freak lol

I do like things to be clean....I anti bac everything! You should see my hands, they are like sandpaper from washing them too much :)

I'm going to browse ebay later and see what I can find for Isaac.

Cheers

Lou :)

I'm really sorry Lou I hjope you don't think I was implying that you are a snob, it's just an expression hun :D

Hope we haven't fallen out lol

By the way, my hands are the same

Hi I was a bit unsure about getting clothes off Ebay too but I decided to take a chance and I bought a massive box of clothes for Reece containing over 150 outfits in sizes up to 18 months! It was only £9!

I looked at the womans past sales etc to see if she had sold clothes before. She had and everyone seemed pleased with them. They arrived in perfect condition. I washed them all before Reece started wearing them. They're mainly all Next clothes too.
xx

hi Lou...I have bought loads of stuff off ebay, and most of the stuff i have for bub is second hand. People are so generous hey?
I got lots of outfits from ebay, and like kim says give it a good wash and its fine. However, i have bought sleep suits new, mainly cos they are cheaper!! Asda do 3 for £3 or something daft.
Im hoping to sell some of my out grown baby clothes on ebay, and i wouldnt sell what i wouldnt buy.

Ebay rocks!!!! I am definitely going to get second-hand clothes from there when the time is nearer. I can't see the point of spending all that money on something they may only wear twice and then grow out of.

I still get some clothes for my daughter from Ebay, and she's almost 13. There are some great dealers out there who specialise in putting together bundles of clothes suitable for a certain age.

I say go for it!

I say go for it... Luckily I've got loads of Mason's old clothes otherwise I'd get stuff off there.

if any one is needing girls 0 - 3 months clothes i know a great place to get them at great prices, so pm me if u want more details.

ebay it is then! oh and Kim of course we havent fallen out. (I am missing the ear thingy thread though arent you guys)?! I do like a good heated debate. lol

I absolutely love ebay too so am definately gonna try and bag some bargains later and after reading your posts I will check the sellers details so I can see their feedback then like you say I know it will be all good clean stuff :)

Thanks girls :)

Lou

Ebay is great! go for it! lol also i bought a few vests/sleepsuits etc on there brand new, not opened and still sealed....bargain price only 2 pounds something! You just need to keep an eye out for the bargains....sometimes you can get things brand new for the same price as second hand! Have bought second hand sleeping bags off there and they have all been in great condition!

Yeah I've got a voodoo dolls jacket on its way to me that I paid a couple of quid for and some other odds and sods. I have looked tonight for baby clothes but I'm not in the mood for shopping.

Tomorrow I'm putting Isaac's moses basket in my mum and dads loft along with 2 big bags of clothes Isaac doesn't fit into anymore. I couldn't sell them, they have too many memories!

Lou :)

Definately yay!. I love ebay both as a buyer and a seller. The clothes are great, ive had a couple of things that were a dubious but not much.
Ive sold a lot of baby clothes as well and made a few pennies which buy I buy her stuff with as well.

It's a yay from me too. I got loads of basics from ebay. Lots were brand new with tags, others were used but great condition. Your baby will be in little sizes for such a short time it makes sense to save a few pennies to spend on other things for her.
