hi guys, sorry for tmi first off!!

I don't know if I have a stomach bug or something but the last couple of days I've had diarrhoea, though no other symptoms like fever etc. I googled diarrhoea in pregnancy and read some stuff that it could trigger a miscarriage!! so now i'm really worried :-S I was wondering if anyone else had it in the second trimester, or whether I should see my doctor or midwife. I've got a midwife appointment on Tuesday so I will mention it to her if I've still got it then!!

love Jamie

I think you'll be ok hun, I had it quite a few times quite early on. You should make sure you replace any fluids you have lost though. If you are that concerned i think you are right to ask your mw.

hope you get back to normal soon

Hi

I belive its fine as long as its not prolonged. Ive had this numerous times thorughout my pregnancy.
I know in the last tri it can start contractions though.

I agree its not nice, ive had it as well, take tangerines advice, make sure you replace any lost fluids, i think at 15 weeks, your risk of miscarrying is very slim due to this..

hope you get better soon mwah

Hey Jamie, I wouldn't worry that much - a couple of weeks ago I had horrible tummy bug with severe vomitting and diarreah (or however we spell that word!) I was told by my MW that it couldn't hurt the baby as long as I wasn't dehidrated and as long as it didn't last for more than couple of days. Drinking a lot of mint tea helped calming my stomach.
Hope it will stop soon anyway!

thank you all
I went out for some mint tea earlier so I'll try that :D

Jamie, hope you are already feeling better - let me know if mint tea works for you too

I still have it, but I think its definitely settling down. The mint tea certainly calms my stomach too!
I mentioned to the student midwife who was in with my regular midwife today about it, but she didn't seem that concerned and just said what you ladies have said, to drink plenty of fluids!

love Jamie
