My Grandpa has diabetes type 2 which he has only developed in his later years, but my dear little nephew who is only 3 was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes which means he has to be injected every day for the rest of his life poor sausage 
Does this mean now that there is type 1 diabetes in the family that my baby's risk is increased?
I have midwife appt in about 10 days but wanted to hear any possible views beforehand please.
