What would happen if you were pregnant and working with animals, e.g. riding horses. It's a high risk job and surely you cant work with them while pregnant? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks x

Tell your employer as soon as you are aware you are pregnant, they are then compelled to carry out a risk assessment on your job. If you do something considered as high risk to the pregnancy they then have to find you something alternative to do for the nine months :D

Thanks for that :D
Another thing..would riding lots of horses each day from day one of your pregnancy harm the baby?
xx

 TBH I doubt it but don't know that for certain - I would say the risk is probably more from falling or being chucked off, esp if you are riding lots of different horses ie other peoples. Its different to riding your own horse where you are more aware of their little quirks! :D

Hi there

Tell your employer as soon as you know your expecting. I work in a funeral directors dressing bodies so very high risk, they have to find you something else to do that isn't harmful to you or your baby. I'm in the office now doing paperwork and stuff which is great as i get to go on the computer all day on forums  Good luck hun.
