Cystic fibrosis

I am extremely worried. My partner has been saying for about 2 weeks that our sons forehead tastes salty when u kiss him. It does. Really salty. But I told him to stop being silly it was just sweat. But tonight I've googled it and it come up continuously that this is a major sign if cystic fibrosis.
He is 13 weeks old and healthy otherwise. Please help us, if you have any experience of this I would like to hear it. We are both so worried I feel ill. X

When the midwife did his heel prick test one of the things.they test for is CF. x

While salt on the skin can be a sign there's many others too. Does your son have issues putting on weight or have loose poohs that are an off colour ? If your concerned there's a very simple sweat test that can be done it takes a few minutes to do and it doesn't cause any discomfort for baby. It's unlikely it was missed in the heel prick test but its worth a follow up if your worried. I've a bit of experience so feel free to contact me for advice x
