Ok we have a 3 floor house well 2+ basement.
Basement is spare rooms, Landry room and other utility rooms
Fist floor is living room kitchen, bathroom, clothes- closet room
Second floor is bedrooms, guests room and our office.
Between floors are really really steep and scary steps :(
The puppy is allowed only in the living room, first floor hallways and kitchen. It sleeps in a cage in the basement at night and for daytime naps...

Ok here is my plan :

A crib in our bedroom, a cot in the nursery and a playpen with a mattress in the living room for day time naps and later safe playing in he living room and out o the reach of the puppy.

Does that sound right? Any different
ideas???

The nursery was actually an walk in closet in our bedroom so it's actually te same room with a door between that can easily stay open all time.
Should I maybe skip the crib and put baby in the cot?after all its only 2 m or leas away from me.
Confused. Com.....

well I will be buying a Moses basket as they are easily transportable for example sleep next to me at night and when I'm down stairs it can be in the living room with me I have got him a cot for his nursery that is what i will be doing i loved the idea of having a crib but when I was thinking about it it wasn't practical

I though about that too but baby may outgrow that very fast ? When will LO sleep after that in the living room? Or are you planning to have all the naps upstairs after that?

well yes i am hoping to have all the naps upstairs after that but as it will be six months or so before it grows out of the basket he should be able to fall asleep in chair bouncer or baby bean bag or something like that my my first sone slept on the couch after that obviously we stayed next to him but he was fine or we used to put blankets on the floor for him he loved it more than moses anyway as he slept on his belly with his bum in the air

My mom said to me yesterday that I outgrew the Moses basket at 2 months lol.

im sure my son was bout 6 months but tbh i cant remember but i defornatley think it was more than 2 months lol

What about your pram does that have a Moses basket you can use until its older and playpen might be better? We've got a crib in our room and I have a pram with Moses basket that we can use downstairs.

It Dosent have a separate Moses basket but I suppose I can put the baby to sleep in the pram???
I don't really know what to do lol, everything seems so confusing

I think that your original plan sounded fine. I am getting a moses basket, they grow out of them in no time but theyre really handy. The baby will have it's own cot in it's room for when the basket is too small.
Play pens come in handy for years so thats a great idea, especially when they start crawling and you need to nip to the loo etc :) x

I'm getting a crib for my bedroom and a cot for the nursery.
My brother and SIL said my nephew grew out of his moses basket at 2 months, and a friend of mine said her son grew out of his really quickly and they all said the moses basket was a waste of money.

For the living room, I'm getting one of those baby bouncy chairs and I can put her in that for day time naps :) x

Im using the carrycot from the pram as the moses basket so i didnt have an additional cost and a bouncy chair for day time xxx

I thought baby can't Be in a bouncy chair, car seat for more than 2 h per day!

I'm five days in to having baby Harry but we've now ordered a crib for the bedroom!

Granted he is a big baby at 10lb 10oz and quite long but he just doesn't have enough room in his Moses basket. He likes to move his arms and the sides stop him

Fortunately we got our Moses basket off friend so not bothered about it and it'll be fine for the day for a while yet, just not as good for at night when we want him not to get disturbed.
