i am well into weaning lucy now and feel i want to maybe try something different other than fruit for pudding. she is 6 months old and was wondering if any one can advise if she would be ok onthe alpro soya yoghurts, there really isnt much in the way of dairy free for babies!!. any advise would be gratefully accepted xx:)

Tegan is Lactose intolerant and has been fine with the soya yogurts, its really hard to find desserts that don't contain milk! Jelly is Another favourite here x

Isla is allergic to cows milk protein but is fine with soya - unfortunately she's not keen on the yoghurts!

Our Dietitian said that babies that are lactose intolerant/allergic to cows milk protein can also be allergic to soya so she said just to try a teaspoon of soya yoghurt the first time and see how they go and then build it up the next day etc etc

Thanks ladies I tried jelly last night and she loved it, will try the yoghurt today . It's difficult to give them different things isn't it!! I got a tub of dairy free cheese sauce which us low fat salt etc from tesco so she can try cauliflower cheese!! Didn't realise tesco done a dairy free range! Will be trying alot of there stuff!! Xx

Hey you could give her custard!!! Birds original custard powder in a tub is dairy free and if use use her milk to mix it?? Also if u add a tiny amount of cocoa powder and sugar its chocolate custard! We got recommended this by a dietician to ensure there's enoigh calcium in J's diet as he is cmp intolerant x
