coverline?

Hi girls

FF has finally come into line with me today and said i ovd cd 13 (it originally said cd 11 but i knew it was 13)

Anyway its saying my temps are above coverline, but i dont really know wot this means? is it a good pregnancy sign or not?

your chart is quite difficult to read due to disregarded temps. At ovulation your temp drops, like yours did at CD13. Then it should rise over 3 consecutive days, and stay above the coverline. You may get 1 drop around day 7-10 which shows implantation, but that drop is still above the coverline.
basically you shouldnt drop below coverline after ovulation. Its progesterone that raises your temp, and if your pregnant you keep producing it, so temp stays high

ah right ok thanks hun.

i had to disregard a couple as id taken those temps at very different times to what i usually do (what with it being xmas hols id been taking them at 10am...but started back to work so couple of them wer taken at 7.30am)

so basically if temp stays above coverline its a good sign??

yep its a good sign! i think it starts to drop towards the end of the 2ww if AF is on her way.

I am the same, my times are all over the place with shifts, although i still seem to be over my cover line so all good so far. xx

As Lynds says your temp will rise the day after you've ovulated & it should stay above your 'cover line' for at least 10 days. After 10 days it will either start to fall or stay high, once it falls below your 'coverline' it means af is due. If you get to day 12 & your still above your coverline this is a good sign for pg.

I know exactly how you feel, I am desperate to be a mummy too. I thought I'd of had a baby by my 1st wedding anniversary & now I'm not even going to have one by my 2nd!

Even if you don't get your bfp this month I don't think you'll get another long cycle if you keep taking AC.

hey, whether you are preg or not the psot ov temps will always be above the coverline, what you need to look for is how long they stay up - gnerally they start dropping if no pregnancy about 12-14dpo and will hit ceverline the day AF comes or the day before AF comes. I really recommend that you get the book "takign charge of your fertility" by toni weschler. I find it really frustrating that sites with FF let you set up a chart and use it without full understanding of what everything means!

Quite a few of your post ov temps are at or below coverline are these all actual temps or to be disregarded? for a true ovulatory cycle your temps should be more like this http://www.tcoyf.com/media/p/1510619.aspx with a true biphasic pattern.

I read the book above (which itsbabytime mentioned) too Bellarina, I highly recommend it! I learned loads about charting from it. It says if your temps stay high for at least 18 days it's highly likely you're pregnant.

Did you take it at the correct time and regular conditions hun? Even if you did, I would not worry abt just one single temp. Temp. dropping below coverline usually indicates AF coming up the very day or the next - so if your LP is anything more than 9, I really would not worry abt one misplaced temp.

Well i took it normal time but id woken up about an hr or so before as was cold but stayed in bed so dunno if thats effected it.

i dont think just being awake should make any difference sorry hunni... i totally understand how you feel! I have soo much work to do - but have been continuously googling abt implantation and temp. dip and making myself go crazy! Wish there was some way to just stop thinking abt it

dont worry too much about it, it could still actually be implantation, so long as its back up tomorrow!

my temps have gone through the roof, i was 98.41 yesterday and 98.68 today!! just seem to keep going up and up. although yesterday i tested at 4.30am and today at 11am (darn shifts).

hi, had another look at your chart, there are many disturbed temps and i know you have disgarded them, but im now thnking the others may be incorrect. I mean without being harsh - your chart hasnt shown a temp shift (3 consecutive days of rises above the coverline) to confirm ovulation. cousld there be anything wrong with the themometer? are you definateyl not getting out of bed before temping? correct amount of sleep? nothign to drink etc?

I really dont like FF for charting - TCOYF is way more superior and will analyse for you. how about putting your temps for this cycle on it and see what it says?? free trial - http://www.tcoyf.com/content/ApplicationDownload.aspx?charting

no not been getting up or drinking or anything. i literally wake up...and with head still on pillow, gab thermometer and put it in my mouth.

Itsbabytime, I might try that site instead of ff actually seeing as the book was so good. Didn't know it had an online charting thing too. I wouldn't take pos opks and ov cramps as confirmation that you ov'd Bellarina Hun, your body can still try to ov but not actually succeed. That happened to me earlier on in my last cycle Really hope the dip is implantation though and it shoots right back up tomorrow hun and stays up! Fingers crossed! X
